Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Greenville

I appreciate having space and there was plenty of it. The exterior and interior is somewhat worn and frayed but not unexpected given the great rate. The staff at the front desk were great, location is very good and its nice having a fridge, microwave and oven and even a covered patio area!!! There was difficulty with internet service that was addressed 24-48 hours later. I had some struggles with the thermostat. All in all I would certainly return.

Our stay at the Hawthorne Suites was fantastic. Check in was quick and easy as was check out. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We found it amazing to have the amenities that were available for such a low price.

All of the previous bad reviews were true, much to our dismay! I think the first room they put us in was the one where the reviewer took all the pictures! They moved us to another room, not much of an improvement! Maybe the rooms with the fireplace and lofts are nicer, I don't know, we stayed in the one with 2 double beds and pull out couch with kitchen. It smelled, its old and dated, may have been great in the 1970's! Ceiling was peeling in numerous places as was the bottom of the bathroom vanity. Only 2 towels and 2 washcloths in a room booked for 4! The toilet rocked, sheets didn't fit beds and I saw ants crawling on the walls. It was also located behind an abandoned building, kind of scary! Hot tub was broken, we didn't even try the breakfast, opted to go out somewhere decent instead. I payed 80 dollars for the room plus another 20 for a pet fee and we brought our dog's cage where we crated her anytime we left, so a rip off there. Stay somewhere else!

We stayed 1 night... had to ask for sheets for the sofa bed... no blankets. It was fine. The breakfast could have been better... The toaster was so slow, and we were on a schedule. Should be replaced.

We had a room with an upstairs loft (bedroom and bathroom), murphy and sofa beds, full kitchen, and full bath were downstairs, 2 TV's. Perfect size for family of 4 with two teenagers. We stayed four days and really enjoyed the breakfast, the pool, and downtown Greenville (5 minutes away). Great value for the price.

Peeling paint, advertised as suite but only one room, beds very uncomfortable, bathtub wouldn't drain, and we were told that we'd get no cleaning service except trash and towels because it was July 4. Still had to pay full price. Small but nice pool and hot tub.

I'm not a hard person to please but this place was a complete dump. We reserved two rooms. The room my son and I stayed in had a broken lock. My daughter's room had a broken bed and when she sat down it collapsed. The entire facility might have been a nice place in the 1970's but obviously hasn't had an upgrade since then. The person at the front desk was having a personal conversation on her cell phone while I waited patiently to ask a simple question. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The kids said the pull out beds were not real comfortable, but ours was fine. Very close to downtown Greenville. We enjoyed the zoo and the park in downtown Greenville is a must see! Not a luxury hotel, but for the price it was very nice!

It was initially a little hard to find because there is no sign out at the street and it is not very high or lit. The staff was friendly and that was a highlight. There was hot breakfast but not the variety or selection invisioned.

It was average.
