Anniversary
It was OK, didn't blow me away. It was clean and in a good location, but shouldn't all hotels be? The pictures you used to sell me on the hotel were much nicer than the hotel itself. The rooms in the pictures had a real cozy feel with a fire place. Our room was as plain as it gets.

Not worth it...
The rooms have a nice 1930's feel but it does not make up for thetereinle service the hotel has. I took my wife here for our five year anniversary thinking it would be really fun and amazing however the best part of the night was the valet. (which costs an extra $25) our room was nice but there was food in the garbage can and mini fridge. I called down to guest services 3 times in a three hour period to come clean it up but they never did. I finally put it out in the hall only to wake up in the morning to see it still laying there. I also requested chocolate strawberries be sent to our room at 2300. This never got done but was on my bill!!! After the horrible night there I will never be going back. There are better hotels in the area for less with better services.

2nd time, will definitely go back. Really very comfortable, attractive, renovate rooms in old bank building, convenient to downtown restaurants, attractions, walk to Vista. Hardwood floors, luxurious king beds, big comfortable room and bathroom. No noise on weekends. Definitely stay again. Only drawback: expensive ($22/nt) valet parking, but on street ample after 6 and on Sunday. Bar in old bank vault plus really fun rooftop bar with view of city.

Very nice hotel
We were only staying one night. Received Masters tickets (Augusta, GA) at the last minute and needed a hotel. Everything was full in Augusta or wanted two night stays. The hotel was very nice and quiet. Enjoyed a good night's sleep. If I have one negative - We came in around 8:30 PM and needed dinner. Hotel resturant wasn't able to handle a busy night. Food took too long to get and didn't get the bill right.

very impressed.....
We were in columbia for the world beer festival and knew we wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel but still wanted a clean comfortable bed. Good price and your not paying for "extras" like pool, sad breakfast, ect. You get awesome service, classy room, original wood floors, very nice bathroom. They even drove me to a walgreens 7 blcoks away when I needed something they didn't already have, because are vehicle was safely stowed inside their parking garage. Wouldn't change a thing, would definitly stay again!.

They have good food but the tourist maps there are outdated. Things have moved. Maybe do your research. There is a great pizza place with lots of vegan option- mellow mushroom, Z pizza across the street as well, both on gervais.

Bait and Switch
We had to park in the garage shared by the Marriott and the local buisnesses walk and carry our luggage to the front desk. Our room was the size of a closet and our sheets were itchy. The tv in the bathroom would only stay on one channel. The floor creeked rather loudly. We put our order out on the door for room service breakfast and it never came. We told the front desk and he said they had to take care of their things first and then get to us and they apparently didn't. So needless to say we never got breakfast and we didn't get offered a free one. The walls in our room were paper thin. We could hear when someone used the restroom in each room beside us. Went to the elevator, used the ice machine or closed a door. We were counting the days until we returned home.
