Should be a no star motel

the motel was run down and dirty. Our first room smelled heavily of mold and maybe disinfectant (?), moved us to a handicapped room - only non-smoking room left - the bed sunk in the middle. Our friends stayed in the second room we rented, it also smelled of mold but not as strongly as ours. The one good thing was the pillows were comfortable.

Well.......................

I would not stay at this particular hotel again. Even though the staff was very friendly, the hotel had a lot of "night" activity going on. The room was not clean and when we asked for a clean blanket for the room they would not take the dirty one out, telling us to just leave it for the housekeeper the next morning.

Excellent choice for a tighter budget

With tighter belts, we needed an inexpensive but clean and quiet place to stay while visiting family for Christmas. This was perfect. Not a lot of frills, but it met our needs. Continental breakfast, free WiFi, and a place to sleep and shower.

could have found something better

i am use to staying in microtels and have found that most are very clean and are a nice value for the price. this microtel did not fit that description. carpets were very dirty, not elevator, and the room was exteremly small. although it is under $100 there are defenatly hotels with more value than this one out there.

It's what it was supposed to be.

Flew in to spend a day with my son who is training at Ft. Jackson. He only has a couple of weeks left but it was his birthday and quite frankly I couldn't stand the wait anymore. Go figure.

There are plenty of restaurants all around. Some are within walking distance. There is also a mall within a short drive.
