La Quinta Inn & Suites Columbia NE Fort Jackson

Staying at this La Quinta rocked. The staff was very helpful, professional and polite. This hotel was nice and quiet the way I like it. I would like to say the fridge door didn't stay shut but that was not a problem for me. If I visit S. C. again I will most likely stay there again. Straight from the STL.

The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful, they went out of their way to give me directions to the base and what was the best gate to use, gate 4. I highly recomennd the La Quinta NE Ft Jackson for anyone attending boot camp graduation! There were many eating places near the hotel which cut down on travel in an unfamiliar area.

the room was clean and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. the only drawback was that the "high speed internet" would cut out and it was not a strong signal when it was connected.

I was going to a military graduation so I was only there for one night. I didn't check-in until around 8 P.M. I went to the room and went to wash my hands but there were no soaps anywhere in the room. I sat down to call the front desk and the phone wasn't working. As I was sitting on the work table, I saw a piece of paper crumpled on the desk so I opened it up and it was somebody's notes (apparently the last guest left it there). I went to use the bathroom and the toilet seat had black specks on it so I had to clean it before using it. The TV and internet wasn't working due to a huge storm that night. I went downstairs and told the front desk. They got me some soaps and shampoo. I travel frequently both for business and pleasure domestically and internationally. I must say that this hotel is over-valued. Definitely not worth the money I spent.

This hotel was easy on/off from 20 and only minutes away from Gate 2 at Fort Jackson. Pleasant staff and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay.

Close to Ft Jackson, many restaurants and shopping. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Clean room, very nice selection at breakfast and breakfast area very clean. Would definitely recommend. Office staff very pleasant.

La Quinta Inn was very dirty, I had to take two blankets off the beds, they had hairs on them, and stains. The carpet was horrendously stained, very nasty. The bathroom sinks drain did not drain properly so when one was brushing teeth the sink would fill up. When I had checked in no one notified me that my stay would be interrupted for changing out the TV. On the morning of the 12th (Friday) I was awoken around 0930 by someone pounding on the door and then the door flew opened and two service men came in announcing loudly they needed to come in, a woman then came in (an employee of the hotel) annouced rudely that they would be only a minute that they needed to exchange the tv, I had no choice in this decision. As I stated above tthat I was still in bed so I had night clothes on. I stated my opinion of this matter to the service men and the one apologized. I felt very uncomfortable and I thought that the hotel could have easily scheduled this around my stay! I told the manager later when he knocked on the door to see how the TV was working, which I really could have cared less about the TV. He said I should have gotten the letter! I then went in search of the letter....I found it with all the other hotel pamphlets on the desk in the room. I don't know about everybody else but that is not my priority when I check into a hotel to read all their pamphlets and literature, I still feel they should have said something to me at check in. I will not be staying at another La Quinta!!

I rserved two rooms to be next to each other for two nights. I called the hotel on Thursday night to inform them we would be arriving late on Friday night. We arrived about 11:00 PM Friday and were taken care of vey quickly at the front desk. We did have rooms next to each other which was great I thought until we got up to the rooms and found out one was not cleaned. I went back to the front desk to inform them and it took the security guard visiting three different empty rooms to find one that was clean. Unfortunately, it was not on the same for as our other room. We went ahead and took it. It was clean but very hot and stuffy. We soon found out we could not control the temperature so once again the security guard came to the rescue. We found out the thermostat was broken and the front desk would have to try to control the temperature for us. Our rooms were not cleaned on Saturday nor were there any clean towels left for us. We had gone to Columbia for a family wedding. The event was wonderful, the hotel was not.

LaQuinta off of Two Notch Rd. is tried and true by my husband and me. We have traveled to Columbia several times in the past year, and after trying several different hotel chains, we found and stayed with LaQuinta. It is decently priced, adequately decorated, and sufficiently comfortable. The staff has always been pleasant, and the amenities are decent. The location is ideal. It is right off of I-20 where you can easily access I-77, I-277, or I-26. There are plenty of restaurants, a mall, and entertainment venues nearby. I definitely recommend staying at LaQuinta if you're looking for a well-priced hotel with decent accommodations.
