Military Mom

The hotel is about 6 miles from Fort Jackson, which made it convient for us. The staff was very, very nice and helpful. The person who checked us in was great. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room was very clean and quite. The free breakfast was ok and saved us a little money which was nice. The lobby is also very nice. Over all it was a nice stay. The biggest downfall is the parking lot is hard to get out of because of traffic.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

BBQ at The Palmetto Pig in Columbia. The outside looks like a dive as well as the inside, but the food is fantastic if you like down home serve yourself country cooking!! The fried chicken was to die for as well as the hushpuppies!! AND GREAT pulled pork that you added your own sauce to.

Would stay there again

Room was large and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Excellent location that was centrally located making the Hotel easy to find and also a great location to visit the Columbia and Fort Jackson Area. Buffet was excellent with numerous choices. Stay was queit and peaceful.

Superb Hotel

This is a fantastic hotel which treats its guests wonderfully. The suite was enormous and well appointed. The staff was attentive and professional. This was a great trip, and I hope to stay here again. I highly recommend it to all.

What A Hotel!!

The Holiday Inn Express at Columbia-Fort Jackson was nothing short of fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and clean,wi-fi was reliable, housekeeping was timely, and it was within walking distance of several places to eat. And if you can't get to sleep in these beds, what can I say?? A great value when visiting Columbia,SC.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you've never eaten at The Waffle House, DO IT while you're here!! The Waffle House is right next door to the hotel. And if you don't mind a short drive, there's Ruby Tuesday's about 1/2 mile in the oppisite direction.
