Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COLUMBIA - DOWNTOWN

Nice hotel located about 3/4 of a mile from downtown shops and activities. Wish I was slightly closer,but we had a car. Personal Pillow was left behind and it was sent without problem within 5 days. Overall nice hotel,but description of "downtown" was a bit deceiving.

This is a beautiful hotel. Very warm and comfortable. Close to downtown. The only drawback was the busy Assembly Street, but turning on the air conditioner helped decrease the noise. I'd go back for sure!

I have stayed at a few different places in Columbia. The location was excellent and the rooms were great. Hotel had great service, I will likely stay there again.

the front desk was welcoming. And informative. The rooms where good but not great. We did have a wonderful view.

we were in columbia for a wedding and used the hotel as our home base for six nights. it was great--nice, clean room, good, full breakfast every morning, handy fitness center, refreshing swimming pool, and really nice staff...would recommend!

I checked in after 7p on a Saturday evening. After a late night, I woke up on Sunday and asked for later check out time at 1pm. The front desk person was adamant that it was not allowed. Within 30 minutes, a huge loud alarm sound woke me up...I contacted the front desk and they related that they had a malfunctioning fire alarm. Neither did they even respond with a late check out to appease this major distraction in my morning. I would not suggest this place to anyone! I prefer that I am refunded for this trip 2/5-2/6, 2011. The room also had an awful odor.

I was just down in the columbia for the day/night and this was the perfect hotel. It was right in the middle of downtown so it fit my needs really well. The staff was very helpful, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was great. All and all a good stay.

1) The inside of the toilet close to the rim was feces. 2) Underneath the bathtub faucet there was brown stuff. 3) One of the beds skirts were not lined up and it was so very obvious. 4)The rest of the hotel was neat and clean. 5)I would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel because it was down the street from the Township Auditorium where we went to see the Yo Gabba Gabba concert. It was very convenient to the Auditorium. The room was nice. (I had selected we have a room with one king bed, but instead they put us in a room with 2 queen beds) However the room had all the necessities: fridge, coffee maker, microwave, desk, tv, clock and it was cozy. The beds were fairly comfortable. The only 2 things that were bothersome were the vending machines on our floor were very expensive and didnt work and the hotel is on a main road and right outside our window we heard cars driving by all night long! (it didnt bother my husband because he is a heavy sleeper but me not so much) Overall the hotel was nice (had a really good complimentary breakfast!) and the staff was helpful.

The room was extremely nice and spacious. Comfortable bed and linens. My only complaint is that the breakfast could have been better. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
