Extended Stay America - Columbia - West - Interstate 126

I stayed on the first floor and saw giant roaches in my room and when I walked to the laundry room. When I saw a smaller one in the main office and pointed it out to the attendant at the front desk, she asked me to pick it up and throw it outside. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

My experience there was nice. The room was clean. The area was quite. It was very comfortable. A good weekend stay!

Thankfully I only stopped for a one night stay while traveling for business. On first glance it seemed okay for a cheaper hotel, but not 5 minutes after I checked in, I noticed a Cockroach on the nightstand by the phone, then a couple more in the drawer where the phone book was. All in all I probably killed 5-7 roaches. When I called down to the desk and informed them of my problem, the clerk only said "well I can leave a note for in the morning". Geez, thanks but I'm only staying one night, How does that help me? No other room was offered or anything to help me at all. In addition to the bug problem, there was only a sheet on the bed, no blanket of any kind, just a sheet and the thin old hotel bed cover that probably never gets washed. The "Non-Smoking" room wreaked of smoke also. I downloaded a bug zap app for my iPhone and slept with one eye open all night. It was pretty terrible, even for a cheap hotel.

Room was to be non smoking but you could smell the smoke and see cigarette burns in the bathroom vanity top. The lounge chair was filthy.

The hotel is directly located on the interstate. The bed was similar to laying on a cement slab. the tv has 15 channels.

[...] when we drove into town, and found out there wasn't a room for us, we had to drive 15-20 minutes farther north than we needed to be to find an alternative "deluxe" hotel that had vacancy. Once we get their, we get our room to only later find out that it was infested with roaches. Well this was found out after 11pm and somehow the front desk is completely closed from 11pm to 7 am so we couldnt even get a new uninfested room for the night. Was not a good experience and would not book with this hotel nor with orbitz again.

I have stayed many times at this hotel. It is no frills but clean and reasonably comfortable. The location is good as well. For the price it is a good bargain.
