Extended Stay America - Columbia - Ft. Jackson

I have never stayed in a worse place. When we got to our room we noticed that the safety lock was just about to fall out of the door. The place was old and in dire need of upgrades. The water was either scolding hot or ice cold, couldn't even shower. On top if that the shower head was broken and sprayed water all over, even over the curtain, which made the whole bathroom soaking wet. We were given another room. Hoping that would be better...too much to hope for. The water in the shower stayed warm for 2 minutes before turning ice cold. The toilet didn't flush right. You had to push the flush 3 times (waiting about 30-45 secs between each push) to wait for the water to fill up the tank. Finally on the 4th try the toilet would flush. The door to our room didn't close tight. It was bent at the bottom and left a big gap, which let light in all night. I will NEVER stay in an Extended Stay America again, not even if they gave it to me for free.

During one day of my 3 day stay at this hotel they didn't give any notice to me or other guests and the had to turn off the water so we had to wait to flush the toilet for hours and then after the water being shut off we didn't have hot water for at least 4 hours! I was very disappointed with my stay there!

once checked in was sent to room that was still being cleaned. Changed rooms and new room had a bad odor.

Very close to the gates of Ft Jackson-YAY! No housekeeping in this hotel unless you stay at least 9 consecutive days. Had to go to front desk for towels (no biggie but they didn't have any and had to wait a few hours). Relatively small room-nothing special for sure. Can hear the bugles from the Army post at night which is cool if you are part of an Army family :) I was in town for my son's basic training graduation-there are restaurants in the area. Hotel location not well marked, it is behind the loading docks for Walmart, if you see the loading docks keep going.

I've seen hotel cleaning staff walk around, but even after requesting service, I've been skipped over 2+ weeks now. Had to bring my towels to the front desk to get new ones. Had to go to the front desk to plead for toilet paper. Requested that the hotel please change out the moldy shower curtain, only to be told yes, yes yes, then no one shows up. Brought the moldy shower curtain to the front desk... See a pattern here? Asked if someone could please take care of the leaky shower faucet, only to be thoroughly ignored until - no joke - it wouldn't turn off at all and started causing a flood. The hotel staff then asked me why I hadn't said anything before. What, am I your baby sitter? The location to Fort Jackson and the price per room don't jive. This place is especially cheap - FOR A REASON. If you reserve a room here, make sure your expectations are low, and I mean LOW. You may want to bring a tarp to keep from having to walk on the carpet. Just sayin'.

Went for my husbands graduation. Pretty nice room. Queen size bed with kitchenette. No house keeping. Must take dirty linens/towels to front desk and exchange for new. I asked for extras of a lot of things and no one complained or hassled me about it. Free breakfast every morning. Closest hotel to base.

I was really satisfied with my stay here, the value, the cleanliness, the staff were all great. only problem was it said 2 double beds and they clearly weren't(more like a double decker kids bed broken down and split) other than that I couldn't really complain. I came for BCT graduation at Fort Jackson and it was literally 10mins away if so much. Located right off the Interstate with lots of amenities close by....easy to miss....don't get frustrated just ask someone in the neighbourhood or a store clerk. Would definitely stay here again

Staff sat outside smoking while I waited to check out the night before. The room was like something out of a horror story. Dark, smelly and very dated. We will never make that mistake again. I tried to do the trip on a budget and I paid for it.

i wish i would have known they dont do maid service they only do it once a week if you need it more than that its extra

The hotel stay is focused in the visit of Fort Jackson military members. The location is perfect. No amenities at all. For me is a 4.00 of 5.00.
