Comfort Suites Columbia

I originally made reservations for 4 nights to attend my daughters graduation. Due to flight and plan changes I contacted the hotel directly to change the reservation to 1 night only. I stayed at another Comfort Suites in another city the first night. I received a call after the 1st night stating that I was a no show at Comfort Suites. I assured them I was there and had paid my bill. When I arrived at the Comfort Suites in Columbia the second night I was told that I was a no show and had been billed $104 and had no room for that night. I had to scramble to find another hotel 20 miles away and stay at another sight other than where the rest of my family was staying. If the desk clerk had at least identified himself as Comfort Suites in Columbia we could have avoided a lot of confusion. I presented them with a copy of the hotel change information I printed out the day the change was made.They refuse to refund my no show charge and have handled this in a very rude and arrogant manner. The Hotel Owner never even bothered to contact me other than send a form letter rejecting my request for a refund. Paying for a room I didn't use was bad enough but not even having a room the night before the graduation was the worst part.

I printed it out and the information was accurate. I received a phone call on the day prior to our stay saying i was being charged a no show charge. When I showed up on the day I had reserved there were no rooms available and they would not refund the no show fee of $104.00 despite my online confirmation of the correct reservation date. I had to find another hotel that was 20 miles away and no where near the graduation I came to attend. Very rude owner and desk clerk. Also the website complaint section goes to an undeliverable e-mail address.

I accidentally booked 3 nights in the wrong location...about 10 mi. from where I intended, but it was worth the drive to come back to a place where I felt welcomed. The staff was super-accommodating & friendly, the bed, linens, rooms superb down to the pillows (about which I am "picky")!
