Decent place to sleep
The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room for kids to play around. The staff was friendly enough. Mattresses had stains but sheets/towels and bedding appeared clean. The room did not smell musty or smoky as motels of this grade usually do. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping in.

It is certainly close to the Clemson center of town, but I would have rather driven 20 miles than stay at this hotel again. THe smell of smoke in the room was overwhelming, to the point of nausea. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

[...] the lobby is always locking, day or night. They remain in the their backroom and wait for us to ring the doorbell. third, they never provided a continental breakfast, or "even made coffee". Room was adequate. I will not stay there again.

Not very happy
Not too good!
I was a female traveling alone, taking a class in Clemson trying to save some money. I can't give a good report for this hotel. There was no hair dryer, coffee maker as advertised. Nor was there any shampoo, and the room smelled of smoke. I was in a "smoke free" room. I went to Bi-Lo and purchased shampoo and a hair dryer along with bleach and room sanitizer. The walls, ceiling, and door frames were nothing short of NASTY! I wore my shoes in the room, and showered with my socks on. The drain in the tub was not secured and floated around in the water during my shower. The sink was missing the hot/cold indicators on the top. I cloroxed the floors and can't begin to tell you how the towel looked after wiping up the clorox. The sheets and towels were clean, and so was the refridgerator. That's about the best thing I have to say about my stay. Certainly, there were no fresh flowers! The location was ok, but was off of the main road. I didn't feel really safe but couldn't get a refund, so I stayed! There was a hand written sign at the check in that stated "No Refunds". I had to knock on the door to check in and check out. The staff was friendly, but didn't speak English very well and it was difficult to communicate with them.
