Romantic Getaway

The Vendue is a wonderful intimate hotel where the staff is truly attentive when need be. The restaurant on property is outstanding. We stayed here for a romantic getaway and the staff was extremely courteous about giving us the privacy we wanted, but then assisting us when we wanted to do certain excursions. I highly recommend staying at the Vendue.

3 Day Wekend

Good hotel, but not great. Furniture not high quality, walls so think that noise form guests just walking in hallways sounded loud. Great staff at every level. Convenient (walking distance) to everything in Charleston to see on a 3 day weekend.

The Perfect Hotel

In all my 64 years, I have not experienced such a grand hotel experience as our stay at the Vendue Inn . . . it was indeed perfect. In addition to it absolutely perfect location, every staff member we encountered was smiling, helpful, courteous and intent on meeting our every need. From our check-in with Amanda to our wonderful Concierge Robbie, the attention and answers to our many needs and questions was met. Our dinner at the Dressing Room was exquisite and Ryan, our waiter, went way above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. This is certainly a must stay hotel for us in the future when we travel in or around Charleston, SC.

Great location for weekend getaway

The Vendue is in a great location and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We had a little issue with our initial room but the staff was more than willing to get us transferred to a new room. We would stay there again.

Slick, historical, friendly and overall great.

The hotel was more than what i expected. We stayed at the historical building but enjoyed the nice and modern restaurant/bar across the street. Loved the milk and cookies, the lemon infused water in the lobby and the opportunity to observe the resident artist.

Disappointed but great location

We had stayed at the hotel previously and were disappointed this time. Some rooms are great and some are not. Be sure to request one away from an entrance and ask for one with windows. Our room had maintenance issues which were taken care of quickly.

Great time at the Vendue -

I read the reviews prior to booking and the staff received amazing kudos...the team that worked at the Vendue this week were very good, especially Ronnie and Shea! All were very helpful and would just chat with you as well about the day or helpful hints on where to go. The location could not have been better...close to the water and all the great restaurants. My only complaint would be the paper thin walls...I accidentally had a conversation with the person in the next room without knowing it as her voice sounded like my wife's. I felt I needed to whisper the entire time...I am not exaggerating how easily you can hear everyone in the hall and the next room or 2 over. Overall a very good trip and I would stay there again as the location and staff are both amazing!
