Lovely hotel with great service

The Vendue gave us a wonderful room and provided top-notch service throughout our five night stay. Bed (in the concierge king) was amazing -- honestly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Cleaning services were thorough. We utilized hotel valet for our car and always received our car within a few minutes. Location is less than a block from the waterfront and an easy walk to everything downtown. All in all, a great hotel and a great value. Highly recommend.

Brilliant

Everything perfect, especially the helpfulness of the staff. We were a little disappointed that breakfast wasn't included but everything else about the place impressed us. Have stayed in 4 other places and this was the best. Lots of special little touches! Will definitely return.

GREAT Hotel!

My experience at the Vendue was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. They took my bags right away and dropped them off in my room since my room was not ready when I arrived. The room was very nice and spacious. The rooftop bar was the best part of the hotel. Amazing views of the city especially at sunset. I do wish the hotel had a pool but that would be my only complain Other than that the location is perfect. A great place to stay for a long weekend to really get a true sense of the "Southern Charm."

fabulous spot in perfect location

The staff doted on us from the first moment we arrived. Amenities like free wine & appetizers, cookies & milk and coffee & continental breakfast in the morning were so lovely. The room was very comfortable although we booked the most inexpensive interior room with no windows. The staff was just fabulous and so helpful! Loved being able to walk to most places in the city. The rooftop bar however was a bit disappointing - not the ambience we'd hoped for. We loved our stay though!

Great little hotel

Our original room was close to a very noisy elevator, but the staff was incredibly kind in moving our room to a quieter location. They say they will be fixing the elevator soon. Great amenities including complimentary refreshments, and wine and cheese hour. The bikes were great- we loved using them to ride all over town. Perfect location to many wonderful restaurants and the waterfront park.

Great location, and you pay for it.

Great location, but the King Suite was overpriced at $400/night. Perfect location and walkable to the river, shopping and dining. If I were to stay here again, I'd book the cheapest room.

Excellent Staff, but beware of Construction

First off I cannot say enough good things about the staff, they were the definition of excellent customer service. Great location for downtown Charleston. Within walling distance of restaurants and historical sights. The only issue was the construction! As someone who has overseen hotel renovations and improvements this was unacceptable. The worker's started at 6 to 6:30am, and it was loud (jack hammering, hammer drills, and sledge hammers pounding). I understand the need for completing projects, but this was ridiculous. I would stay again, but would wait until construction is done.

Great location, fair rooms

Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was very nice, but low pressure and inconsistent temperature in the shower. I would look elsewhere if you plan to spend any significant amount of time in your room not asleep. Basically paying for the location.
