Location, Location, Location

Overall, this hotel offered perhaps the best location to stay in downtown Charleston. It was in easy walking distance to everything and had a parking garage behind it which can't be said for all the hotels. It had free Wifi and darn good cell reception within the building which isn't always common anymore. Didn't have any issues and would recommend staying there if you've never been to downtown Charleston. If the beds were a little more comfy I'd put the value at a 5. Although, not bad.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the carriage tour of the downtown right when you get there (starts near the old slave market on Market St.) so you can get your bearings as to where everything is located for the rest of your stay.

another hyped-up hotel

Staff is very friiendly and able to answer any questiona about the area. Met by valet at the front door and offered valet parking which is well worth the money. Room was small and found mold in the bathroom. New mattress needs to be bought. The city itself was beautiful and easy to get around.
