Not a bad place for the price
Excellent location on the water and near a nice restaurant. Hotel is pet friendly. I was placed on the first floor next to a bunch of dogs who were barking. Asked to be moved and I was with no questions asked. Overall place is nice. Excellent breakfast each morning. Rooms were nice, beds and pillows very comfortable. would stay here again.

Excellent, great value for the price.
This turned out to be a greaty experience. The location was great for me. All of the staff were friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend this hotel tpo others.

Great location and breakfast.
The front desk staff person was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, and everything worked! Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

Reasonable getaway
Staff was extremely friendly. Continental breakfast was adequate and the room was comfortable. There was van service into the historical area for $8 per person daily which is convenient when guests are not driving. La Quinta shared a parking lot area with California Dreaming restaurant, which was convenient for last minute meals. Discount coupons are offered for area attractions and the Inn was located in the vacinity of a few historic sites, accessible by taxi if not driving. Overall, the stay was pleasant enough. In a pinch, I would stay there again.

Easy stay
we had a great stay here! Room was clean and most of the staff accommodating. Room didn't have an iron and one arrived in 5 minutes! Only issue was getting a cab to the wedding we were in across the river.

Palmetto Bug Hotel
Charleston is a Great Vacation
We checked in the room was very clean, and although they have check in at 3pm, we arrived early and they accomidated us at 1p,. The directions from the front desk were great to get downtown, it's a great area. Excellent shopping, wonderful sites and history. If you are into photography, Charleston is known for thier interesting doors and gates. It really was a please to stay, we will go back.

LUCKILY IT WAS JUST ONE NIGHT
The clerk who I requested to do my check out was terrible. She was "assisting" a customer on the phone but by the way she gesticulate I think the customer in the phone felt her terrible attitude. Once, she finished on the phone, I requested my check out and she as disrespectful asking me who did my check in( Obviously, I did not know the name of the clerk since I checked in at 2:00 AM). I WON'T BE BACK TO ANY LA QUINTA INN, or use ORBITZ anymore to find a hotel or any other travel arrangements.

great stay
La quinta inn was very clean and had good service. The location was perfect, not too close to the crowded downtown area but just the perfect distance and it right by the marina. The only negative was that there wasn't a fride or microwave. The room was very spacious. Overall it was a great stay and id stay there again!

Great Place to Stay while you are in Charleston
Me and my wife stayed here and were very happy with out choice. The site is new and the staff very helpful. Would surely stay here again. Make sure to take the garage tour of old town while you are here. You can get discounts online.
