King Charles Inn rooms are available with double, queen and king beds, and roll-away beds are available in some rooms. Some deluxe king bed rooms open onto a shared balcony with rocking chairs. All rooms have LCD TVs and mini-refrigerators.

Property features

King Charles Inn offers free wireless or wired Internet service in all rooms, wireless Internet in public areas, free use of computers and printer in the lobby, and free coffee and tea in guest rooms and the lobby. Its manager was named top hotel manager of the year by the South Carolina Hospitality Association. King Charles Inn has an outdoor pool with sun deck and guests have free use of a world-class fitness center off site. King Charles Inn encourages, promotes and supports the "greening" of the lodging industry.

July 4th getaway

Would recommend Wed, Nov 18, 2015
Had a great trip over this past July 4th weekend. The hotel was easy to find, and checking in was no problem. This was our first time to Charleston and the hotel staff were very helpful pointing out things to do and restaurants to visit. Overall, the hotel was clean and super convenient to all of the tourist spots. We enjoyed the hotel bar and pool. The price of the hotel was my only complaint, but due to the limited supply in the tourist area, and the fact it was 4th of July weekend, it was understandable. overall, it was a great place to stay for a long weekend.

Parent drop off at C of C

Would not recommend Wed, Aug 19, 2015
This hotel has the ability to be a very nice hotel but it fell short in a few areas. When I got to the room there was no channel changer. There was no guide to the TV channels. The garbage was not emptied after the first night. Dirty towels were not replaced with clean ones. It has a good location and the staff was fine but the attention to detail was lacking.

Lovely hotel...BUT

Would not recommend Sat, Jul 25, 2015
The hotel is lovely, the location is good and the staff was friendly, but the absence of robes. ...poor channel variety, non-functional WiFi and refrigerator PLUS no room service will not allow me to recommend this hotel...at least, not for the price.

Great Choice in a Great City

Would recommend Mon, Jun 15, 2015
This being my first trip to Charleston, I really didn't know what to expect. The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance of downtown area, but far enough away to be quiet. The staff were always happy and accommodating. Our room was nicely sized and clean. You couldn't ask for anything else, it was a great stay and I would recommend the King Charles Inn to anyone. I will be back. Charleston is a fun place!

birthday weekend

Would recommend Fri, Feb 13, 2015
Excellent location - we felt safe walking for miles in every direction. Parking was very convenient as well, and staff was friendly and helpful. There's an upper lobby with a fireplace for gathering. The rooms were just a little small and sad and had a view of a cement parking deck. For business, excellent, but for a romantic weekend, you might want to pay a bit more for a better view. I do have to high-five housekeeping. The room and bathroom were immaculate.

Wedding Weekend

Would recommend Mon, Dec 8, 2014
This was a great place to stay for a quick wedding weekend. It was easy to walk everywhere. The staff was very friendly and understanding when we asked to switch to another room so we couldn't hear the construction going on during the weekday.

Dining

Eat and drink cocktails at Husk.

Would recommend Mon, Mar 3, 2014
i never write reviews but, my wife and i enjoyed very much the convenience of the location as well as the comfort and cleanliness of our room. finding a hotel in charleston with this location and price that has the added benefit of onsite parking makes this an excellent choice. we also enjoyed having breakfast available on site. we would definitely stay there again.
