Wonderful staff---specifically the front desk Willie Frasier and Kathleen the bartender on the rooftop restaurant. They bent over backwords to be accommodating and were personable, professional and they were all at the top of their game. What
wonderful representatives of the Holday Inn.
Great deal if you don't want to spend a lot of money in an expensive city as Charleston. Good location, just 10 minutes driving from Broad Street where you can find all kind of restaurants and bars.
Enjoy the great view when having dinner in the
This is a clean and well appointed hotel that delivers a first class experience. The rooms were large and spotless, the restaurant was great with an attentve staff and a positively knockout view.
If I had a complaint it is that I wish that the
shuttle would run every hour in the evenings rather than every two hours.
This hotel is in a great location in terms of Charleston sight-seeing. It's far enough away to get you out of the chaos but well within driving distance. This was a family trip with our 7 year old. The local dining options are very limited for
families. There is a restaurant in the hotel, with incredible views, but very pricey. No continental breakfast. Very disappointed about that. Next trip to Charleston we will look for something a little more family-friendly.
Hotel and staff were excellent. Room was clean and very comfortable. Only problem with the hotel is the location. It's between the major highways into and out of Charleston's downtown and historic area. The very busy and fast moving one way
traffic on both sides of the hotel makes it difficult to both exit and enter the hotel parking lot safely. Also, a GPS system is the best option for finding your way anywhere from the hotel.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
The restaurant on the top floor of the hotel has good food at reasonable prices but the best part is the spectacular views either during the day or at night.
The only item missing in our room was the shower cap!
The water was hot, the air was cool and the view was nice. This location is close to the Battery area, 5 minutes tops. We drove to the Battery, parked the car and walked to the market area,
shopped, ate and walked back to the car - saw the sunset. We had a wonderful, affordable time.
