The Econo Lodge hotel is conveniently located close to historic downtown Charleston, the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, the North Charleston Coliseum and the Charleston Area Convention Center. The College of Charleston, The Citadel and the Charleston International Airport, dozens of great restaurants and the Citadel Mall are also just minutes away. All rooms have 25" remote control TVs, and rooms equipped with coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave are available. Wake up to a free continental breakfast each morning.

My wife and I needed a room and applied on line for a non- smokers room, when we went to see the room it was a smokers room, my wife has brocitis and that room would have never been excepted. So, we did not have a memerable trip to Charleston. This is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. However, in the future we will check to make sure we have a non smokers room. We are told old to start smoking now! We don't want to die of second hand smoke, sleeping in a room for smokers is the second hand and you can get.

Shopping at the tanger outlet is great right off of I-26 north bound.

Dirty and Smelly

I'm not sure what was worse: the smell inside the room or outside the hotel. The room obviously had not been cleaned beyond making the bed. The heater let out noxious fumes. The towels did not smell clean either. Please stay elsewhere!

Unbeatable location for the price.

While at the hotel, I asked to have the light over the vanity fixed. The light was still not fixed two days later when I checked out.

Needs total renovation

Last time it was uopdated was probably 30 + years ago.
