Country Hearth Inn Charleston

very noisy motel right on top of highway. Although we didn't see bugs, both my son and I came home with many bugbites. room smelled bad. never again. spend alittle more and stay somewhere else.

Enjoyed the stay. The room & bath were clean, the bed comfortable, the t v had 156 channels, and there was a refrig. and microwave in the room. The only fault I found was the breakfast. It was advertised as "Deluxe" which it definitely was not! Biscuit and gravy was good but only other items were cold cereal, toast, and muffins along with orange juice and coffee. If they would improve the breakfast it would be an excellent bargain.

this was one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in. 1) when i got there they told me i'd only paid for ONE night, when i'd bought 2.. and they wouldn't change it until i could prove i'd bought two nights 2) it is right off of rt 26-and you can hear everything in the room. i could hear my neighbors, and people in the pool outside my door 3) there is a marker you can put on the outside of the door if you wanted housekeeping to come to your room, i hadn't put it out, and they walked in on me and my bf early sunday morning 4) upon leaving my room with my boyfriend we were greeted by this strange man who kept asking us for a lighter and/change. needless to say i would not leave my room without my boyfriend.

Absolutely disgusting. The worst hotel I've ever seen. We try to support local businesses whenever possible. This appeared to be one; it is NOT! Stopped by to check in to this North Charleston hotel during daylight hours and it didn't look glamorous. But, we were trying to save $ on an unexpected trip, so we thought it would be o.k. (Didn't learn until later that North Charleston is an area to be avoided.) Came back at night after dinner and the whole atmosphere had changed. Parking lot was full of locals. My daughter & I apprehensively carried our suitcases to room. Room appeared clean, but old and run-down. Pillows were ancient--worn beyond belief! Oh, well. I can sleep without a pillow, especially when exhausted. As I wearily pulled back covers to crawl into bed, I was appalled to see STAINED SHEETS! Completely nasty. We packed our bags and left without even trying to get a refund. As we left, we noticed more locals and young women hanging about outside the rooms and wondered, truly, "is this a brothel??!!"

First rom smelled and sink was blocked, would not drain. Front desk gave us a nicer room on the first floor.

The night check-in host was very helpful, he assisted me at 02:30 am when almost no-one is helpful. The carpets were a bit nasty and moved under your feet. But for the money not a bad value our room was close to the office so we felt safe. The rear of the building were I had to park when we arrived at 02:30 am was a bit scary.

We received a warm reception from the gentleman at the front desk. It just went south from there. Although the location was convienant, it wasn't very clean and when my husband went to the front desk that evening to request a few napkins and another pack of coffee, the woman was terribly rude and no help at all.[...]Disappointing.

Spent the night in Charleston, while son was having an overnight event at the college that he was soon to attend. I just needed a comfortable bed in a safe location. Comfortable was covered, but I wish I had requested a room closer to the office, since I am a female coming in very late at night.
