graduation sightseeing trip
Be aware that "traditional queen room" is very very small. It is in a space similar to a typical hotel room - but half of that space is now taken up by an elevator shaft! There were about 2-3 feet of space around the bed to walk and one had to practically stand on the toilet to close/open the bathroom door. The size is a shock/disappointing if you are not expecting it - which we weren't. O.. needs to communicate this clearly to people when they book. Photos on website are of king rooms. The king bed room is a more typical size and much more pleasant. Both rooms were very clean, nice linens, furnishings, etc. Pool and bar area pleasant. Good location for walking around Charleston. Very helpful day staff. View from room was of parking garage although some rooms look over street.

Great location
The location was great and within walking distance to everything in the historic area. The staff was very nice and the rooms clean. They were currently going through renovations so they did not have a lounge or resteraunt area. But plenty of places nearby to eat at! The free parking was a good perk to have.

Great People/facility tired
The location, price and staff are great. However, it is an old facility and the rooms are small, cramped and worn. It is clean, however, with a good breakfast buffet and a pleasant little bar for 4:00 onward. The people reflect well on the city. This is a good place for bus loads of little old ladies with blue hair.

Perfect Charleston Getaway
Great hotel in a great location! Close to everything Charleston. Hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Wished the room was bigger, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was overpriced and not very hot, but it didn't take away from our trip. Just want to Barbara Jean's instead, which had excellent pancake by the way. Would stay here again.
