Great shopping area!
This hotel is in a perfect location for the market area of Charleston. We had several restaurant selections and all of them (3) that we tried were excellent. We had 3 hotel rooms and they were all in one hallway that only had 3 rooms (4th floor), so very quiet. We felt quite safe walking around, even after dark, in the area. The room AC/Heater kicked on too often, but probably because I didn't know how to set it properly so that it wouldn't. The bed/pillow/bedding were nice.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
The market vendors are in at least 3 long bldgs that are open on the sides and there are a lot of choices of things for sale. The vendors close up before dark but the stores are open late and there is a wide variety of those. Wear comfy shoes! The shuttle service is free and has quite a few stops, runs about every 20 min.

Satisfying stay!
Had fridge problem on first night, but were quick to replace it. Location is ideal, just across the street from Fig, best restaurant for nightime dining and across the street from Jestine's, best for breakfast and lunch. Rooms and beds are not big, but even the finest in Charleston are rather small due to not being allowed to tear down old buildings for rennovations. You won't be disappointed. The staff is friendly, professional and accomodating. Everthing was cl3ean and the bathrooms were especially large and well appointed.

Great People/facility tired
The location, price and staff are great. However, it is an old facility and the rooms are small, cramped and worn. It is clean, however, with a good breakfast buffet and a pleasant little bar for 4:00 onward. The people reflect well on the city. This is a good place for bus loads of little old ladies with blue hair.

Perfect Charleston Getaway
Great hotel in a great location! Close to everything Charleston. Hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Wished the room was bigger, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was overpriced and not very hot, but it didn't take away from our trip. Just want to Barbara Jean's instead, which had excellent pancake by the way. Would stay here again.

Only needs one thing.
The hotel was awesome! Great location, close to everything. Clean, comfortable rooms. And had a fridge, which is super important as Charleston at this time of year is boiling hot and humid. We kept it stocked with bottles of water and gatorade. The only thing the room needed was a microwave to reheat leftovers from the spectacular restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
