Some good things

Hotel very convenient for walking downtown. However, hotel is really split into two buildings, one across the road from the main building, which we were in and had no atmosphere which we were looking for in a small hotel.A good free continental breakfast available on the 4th floor terrace of this building Rooms quite small but adequate for a short stay.Bathroom small Ask for a coffee machine if one is not in the room. There is some tight parking available on site for $12.00 per night and if that is full a convenient multi story only 50 yards away. A little pricey for the accomadation......but again convenient location especially if you dont have a car.

Disappointing Experience

The lady who checked me in was very rude. The roof top breakfast was disappointing - rain was in puddles - should have been removed. The breakfast food was average, but they did serve it on regular plates with silverware - not plastic.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The Market was only a block away for interesting shopping. Hyman's Seafood and Sticky Fingers restaurants are within a couple of blocks. Both were great eating experiences for us. Hyman's has a long wait sometimes, so I advise going at a nontraditional eating time.

Interesting downtown location

This hotel is in the oldest part of charleston, sc and has been built out of an old stable owned by the Pinckney's back in the 1800's. Parking is with very small slots through a small opening in the hotel, so this can be difficult if you have a larger vehicle. Breakfast is on the top floor of this small hotel with a good view of the harbor. The one big asset was the ability to walk around the market in charleston to all the shops and not drive. We also enjoyed walking over the cooper river bridge.

Good little Inn

The Pinckney Inn was a nice stay in downtown Historic district of Charleston, SC. It's best feature is its location, its right near the famous market and King street with options for food and entertainment. The rooms itself has an interesting feel to them, in that it seems more a building of offices rather then hotel rooms. Another question is that, at least the room i had, had no windows. The staff is very friendly and helpful with questions and problems.

Great location and value

This hotel was a very good value for downtown Charleston. It was in a good location where you are able to park your car upon check-in and leave it there until you check out. We walked everywhere that we wanted to go. Also great dining that is easily within walking distance. The carriage companies were close too. The hotel itself was very nice, the bed was pretty comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay!!

Great Downtown Location

The Andrew Pinckney Inn is located in the downtown area of historic Charleston. Almost all the historic buildings to view are within walking distance. The rooms are wonderful and add a bit of cultural flare to the experience. The breakfast buffet is okay. Transportation is required to get to Patriot's Point. Overall the Inn is a place that I will be willing to stay again when visiting Charleston.

Very nice stay plus location, location

Great staff, clean, comfortable room, tasty continental breakfast for free. Plus the location is fantastic: right in middle of historic district with hundreds of museums, art galleries, restaurants and curiosity shops within easy walking distance. Don't bother with a car. C-town is a great walking town and The Pinckney is a super home base.

Great Location

The only thing that makes this hotel what it is, is the location. Besides the location, the hotel is not that great.

Location, location, location

The ltocation of this Inn is excellent. Close to a number of excellent restaurants and shopping. Easy walking distance to a numberio of historical homes. The hotel staff was very helpful and they maintain a nice restaurant menu book. Their continental breakfast is more than adequate. The room was tastefully decorated, like the crown molding and plantation shutters. 24$ taxi to airport.
