Was disappointed that there was no prior information about the $20.00 non-refundable pet deposit that wasn't noted on the web site. Could have used thaty information before-hand. The water pressure in the shower was excellent.

I needed a cheap place to stay that was close to the 5 mile race in downtown Columbia & found this place discounted ( 2 double beds for $55). It was worth the discount price but, I wouldn't pay the "asking" price (&74) to stay there. They had the amenities I needed: coffee maker (make sure you bring your own coffee, sugar, cups etc!), refrigerator & microwave. The hotel/motel is old but clean & in good repair. Our remote didn't work but the maintenance guy brought another to our room. The mattresses were new. We got up & out too early to eat the continental breakfast but the staff were helpful in giving us a late check out so we could get back from the race/awards ceremony & shower before we left. The hotel pool was out of order and pretty much a pond. There was a good Mexican restaurant next door and very easy acces to downtown & the zoo.

I have stayed at this hotel once before and I enjoyed the quietness that surrounded it.

great location, and the staff is extremely helpful. while this is not a 5 star hotel, it is definitely a perfect choice if you are on a budget. my room had a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. I stayed there 4 nights, have no complaints.

Friendly and accommodating staff, spacious and clean rooms, and a convenient location make this a perfectly satisfactory place to stay. I had an important early morning business meeting in downtown Columbia; took less than ten minutes to get there by car! Afterwards, it was nice to throw open the curtains and relax in my room (which had a lovely view of the hotel's landscaped grounds and of park space beyond). A short walk to shopping and recreation areas add to the convenience of staying in this attractive, though older, modernist style establishment.

average hotel a few miles to the USC Greek village. Walking distance to grocery store and couple of restaurtants . The bathrooms were not the cleanest, the bathtub could have used an overhaul and door locks were impossible. But the beds looked clean and the staff were great. Good value for the money.

The room was what I needed, clean bed & shower. The room was nothing to brag about and was okay for a one night stay. Complimentary breakfast was offered and there was a pool available. Nothing else to tell. I attended a meeting for work was the reason I was there and this hotel/motel was only minutes from where my meeting was held.

We were in Columbia for the funeral of a family member. This hotel was clean, comfortable & convenient, yet somewhat outdated. The evening front desk clerk was extremely friendly and accommodating.

This is an old hotel that is kept very, very clean. Sits on a very nice grounds in the woods. The Location is so great to downtown, 5 minutes and you are there. Make sure that you don't have any one bedside you cause the rooms are not very sound proofed. Choose top floor. Would stay there again good price and they provide a few items for breakfast.

The room had a coffee machine but no coffee in the room. It is an older hotel but clean enough. Good place to sleep and shower.
