Lizards Thicket is a down home Southern-style restaurant only about 3 blocks away. Good food at bargain prices. (It's a chain, but doesn't feel like one).

Hotel was clean and staff was excellent Good breakfast and even though it was a busy game day-the staff kept bringing more fresh food. Easy/close access to university.

Clean, comfortable, and satisfying
The room and its equipment were clean and comfortable; it was quiet in the room; the breakfast setup was comprehensive and easy to access... We have had good results at each of the three Country Inn & Suites which we have stayed at... And, we expect to return to this one next month.

smelly room
checked in went to room opened door wow very bad mold smell unbearable. called front desk said i would like to change rooms clerk said all booked up none available. so i called orbitz got a refund on the booking. went la quinta inn on the north side of columbia. thx orbitz for helping me out on this one. and thx to steve at la quinta for saving my vacation.

WONDERFUL...WOULD STAY AGAIN!!!
We have never stayed at a Country Inn & Suite before, but we certainly will in the future. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was large and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a very nice assortment of breakfast foods. The cleaning staff went the extra mile in organizing our bathroom and keeping our supplies stocked.

A great experience!
The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location and very easy to find. I would definitely stay there again! Also, they have a fantastic breakfast that is included with the stay, not to mention coffee and cookies as well.

Unbeatable location for the price!
I was very impressed with your hotel! I was attending a workshop at Midlands Tech so the location was ideal! The hotel was spotless! Bed was very comfotable! Terrific continental breakfast! Cant say.. enough good things about my stay! I WILL stay there again! Thanks CountryInn by Carlton!

Great stay, but a little noisy
Stay here for 3 nights Oct 19th thru the 21st during Graduation activities at Fort Jackson. Congratulations and thank-you to the 850 fine young men and women who made thru the training to defend our liberty and freedom. This is a really nice hotel, the staff was very helpful, the rooms were very well kept, and the free breakfast was great. Lots of good coffee and snacks in the lobby 24/7. Nice indoor swimming pool The only drawback to this hotel is that it is directly in the landing pattern for Columbia airport, it didn't bother us much as we were not there during the day, and the flights were less at night. Ask to stay on the 1st or second floor. Less noise from the aircraft! Would stay here again if in the area! Close to lots of resturants and shopping.

Traffic is heavy between 5:00 to 6:30 in the evening. Go early or wait till about 7:00 pm to go out. Good food, and shopping about 10-15 minutes from hotel.

Excellent accomodations. Very clean room, friendly check-in ([...]), comfortable bed and just minutes from the airport. Would definitely recommend.
