Basically good.
This is a very nice, clean and basic hotel with few amenities, an acceptably friendly staff and a convenient location for travelers and business in the Columbia area. Breakfast was just okay as they do not offer as any choices as some fares but all in all it was adequate. The pool is vey small, no hot tub. While there is no bar or restaurant the hotel is adjacent to a nice Mexican Restaurant and across the street from a Carolina Wings. If you want something classier you have to head to Columbia, fifteen minutes to the south.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and great temperature!! Only problem was hallway noise off and on until 3am from some of our "neighbors"

Blythewood Stay
Overall OK, but lacked certain basics. Two lamps over the bed were inoperative and the socket they were plugged into was loose and insecure. An easy chair for watching TV was also missing. On the other hand, the breakfast was exceptionally complete and the staff were very courteous.

The best in a while
We had stayed in Columbia several times but most places were not clean. We moved a little out of the area and found this clean room with great amenaties, good breakfast, very helpful staff, and as close as any places we could have found in Columbia. The Blythwood Holiday Inn will be our place to stay next visit.

Awesome
We made this trip to visit family. This hotel is perfect...close to dining, shopping, everything that you could want. Breakfast hot and wonderful selection so everyone can find something to eat! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful!

Great stay
There were two aspects of our stay that were great. The staff was remarkably friendy in all respects and the included breakfast buffet was comprehensive and tasty. As for the latter, one day it was bacon and eggs and the next it was cheese omlet and sausage, among all the other usual items. There was also a choice of four juices. We will stay there again.

Nice place, clean with minor issues
It was clean, with a friendly staff. I had read before I booked my stay that some people said that the Wi-Fi didn't work...and of course my entire stay there for 3 days...it never worked. I discussed it with the hotel clerk, and they indicated they would reset it...but it never worked. Had to drive to a hot spot in town to get internet.
