sheets had stains on them and the staff was hesitant to replace them. There was no fire alarm and the smoke detector was missing. The door had a 2"-3" gap between the bottom of the door and floor. The view out the back was nice.

went for daughters marine graduation,and checked in to find that the room was very hot,walls painted orange,looked like a crack motel,next morning woke to roaches in our bed and on bathroom sink,wanted to get refund but you cant cancel without 100% forfeture of your money,once you pay you have to stay or lose your money,not recommended at all,howard johnson should not have thier name affiliated with this motel!!!

The hotel is old and out of date, electric boxes extending out of the wall. Tolet keep running no attempt by staff to fix. Sheets didn't fit the beds. Other than that it is in a nice location except for the greyhound bus terminal next door with a lot of shadey people hanging around wandering though the complex.

I was down there for business. Its a good hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. No bells and whistles, but it does the job. Hot waffle and a cup of coffee is good.

This is a terrible motel, the pool was closed due to poor sanitation. The room doors did not close properly, the sliding doors did not close completely. The security doors did not function. The coffee pot was dirty. The phone broke up due to a bad cord. The rooms were molely. Wash rags were not replace for the second day. No elevator to the upper floor.

THE WORST HOTEL IN BEAUFORT!!!!!! This is the most dilapidated hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms smelled like mildew and the AC did not work. On top of this, the hotel is run by the RUDEST and most undesirable staff possible. They are in no way cordial or polite and could care less as to the quality of your stay. In fact, when alerted as to the misery of our stay the owner laughed and sarcastically told us to contact Howard Johnson corporate office " and see what they do". Howard Johnson took no responsibility for the stay either. They said that since it is owner-run they can't do anything. So this guy thinks he has his own little independent city-state that he can do ANYTHING he wants in, and thats just what he does. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I will never ever ever ever stay in this or any other HoJo again. If you want to have a nice weekend ruined in record time, stay here. IF NOT, stay elsewhere, ANYWHERE ELSE. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again.

Location to Paris Island was good. Service was good. Thats really all I can say about this place. This place needs an overhaul, and needs to be clean. Dirty place. $79.00 a night, definetly a rip off.

We will not be staying at any Howard Johnson's again. We've had two bad experiences with them. The first time was about 5 years ago in New York in the winter. When we got there the heat wasn't on!!! And our recent stay.... They need to update the rooms. We felt like we were back in the 70's. Our door was messed up. We had to slam it to get it to shut. The breakfast was good though.

The stay was nice for the price. The room was clean, just needs some work because it looks older. The room was hot when I arrived, but when I returned from dinner it was quite chilled. There was a really weird smell in the hall, but it never infiltrated the room area. It was very quiet and allowed a nice weekend of relaxation.

Hotel was easy to find. Quiet location. Seemed clean enough except for the moldy shower curtain. Pool closed at 7 pm and that is too early on a weekend.
