Nice, quiet
I stayed in this hotel over the Labor Day weekend. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were nice amenities. I also enjoyed utilizing the fitness center and the outdoor pool, though some may prefer an indoor pool. I was most pleased with and especially appreciated how quiet the hotel was at night. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

About what you would expect for the $$
We got about what we were expecting for a US150/night room in-town, on a weekend. Our room and the common areas were clean and reasonably comfortable. The "special" beds that the Hilton chain boasts of didn't work (at least not noticeably) in our room. Turning the dial had no effect. Still, the bed was comfortable. The cable TV was analog and not very good picture quality on many channels. The only other "hiccup" was that our room key didn't work on the doors leading in from the pool until we had it re-programmed. Of course, being the weekend of a local waterfront festival, we ended up in a room with a family of Flamenco dancing hippos above us, and apparently there was a training course for Megaphone demonstrators in our hallway. Neither of these are the fault of the hotel, it just seems to be how our luck runs when we travel.

Short drive from hotel
The Saltus River Grill (right on the waterfront) serves the BEST food I have have ever tasted, hands down. We travel to Beaufort when we can to eat there, visit our Grand kids, and our son, the Head chef. ;)

The Steamer was a great dining experience while Luther's should be avoided. The former had delicious seafood while the latter didn't even bring our appetizers after 40 minutes. The explanation was that the server was new.

easy drive to Parris Island
We came to Beaufort for our son's graduation on Parris Island. The hotel is located off a busy street but still near shops and restaurants. Very easy drive to the island. Room was clean, beds very comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful. Our flights were cancelled coming home due to bad weather so we stayed an additional night over in Savannah near the airport at the Savannah Hilton Garden Inn. Again, we were satisfied. They even upgraded us to a suite because of our cancelled flights and inconvenience.

Go to the Office sports bar and grill, right around the corner in the mall area, good food and great staff, You might have to ask the front desk were it is.

Short walk from hotel
Had a wonderful meal at Outback which was in walking distance (3 minutes). Also enjoyed a couple of cocktails at Kathleen's on the Beaufort waterfront. Kathleen's is very laid back and comfortable. Sat outside under the fans on a 100 degree day and felt ok.Kathleen's also has some pretty good happy hour specials!!!
