Get together for Graduation

Hotel was sufficient for my needs. I wasn't there a whole lot since I was visiting with friends etc. But the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had plenty of hot water and clean linens. Only complaints were the heat not working and I froze the first night. But they willing moved me the next morning when it couldn't be fix asap. Also, I had a terrible time with the WiFi. When I called the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do. The first night wasn't a problem after that I could never get back on. The staff was friendly and helpful I'd stay again.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

We visited a local State Park while we were in town. Had a great time.! We toured a light house...walking 160 + stairs to the top. Walked along the beach and collected sea shells. Then we went to the board walk and walked out on the pier. As well as walking along the board walk thru the swamp. It was really cool and parts were historical.

Smelly stinkhole,lousy service!

We requested a NON-SMOKING room and they booked us in a smelly SMOKING one instead. The front desk clerk was not at all helpful and only mentioned the possibility of a non-smoking room for the 2nd night of our stay when I pressed him for some way of accomodating our request. He later had the general manager call our cell phone number for the purpose of explaining why we STILL were not going to get the non-smoking room we requested! There were spiders in the room... the bed was only partially made after the 1st night of our stay... and the microwave and fridge were oh-so-hygienically located in the BATHROOM! Oh, and let me not forget to mention the pool patio had its paint stripped and looked horrible!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

AVOID THIS MUSTY MOTEL AT ALL COSTS! But if you're staying somewhere nicer (perhaps the Holiday Inn adjoining this fleabag motel), have some great seafood at Gilligan's Restaurant. Or take the 5-minute drive to Bay St. and hit Panini's for some delish brick oven pizza!

USMC Graduation

Check in was easy. Did not receive requested wake up call. Almost missed graduation ceremony. Bathroom floor and tub were dirty. Towels were nice and fluffy. Continental breakfast was included, and included make your own waffles and hot oatmeal.

Clean, comfortable & quiet.

Check-in staff, knowledgable on how to process the ORBITZ reservation (so I wasn't re-charged). Traveling alone, I felt safe. Good lighting and open space.
