Okay place to stay
The room needs to be updated. The carpet needs to be replaced. The bathroom doorjam looked like it had been chewed by a dog. At least the bed was clean.

The air conditioning did not seem to work properly so the room was hot each night during our stay. The hotel is in need of some upgrades, but the room and the location served our purposes well.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
We ate dinner all three nights in Downtown Aiken. It is a short walk from the hotel. The first and third night we ate at teh Aiken Brew Pub. Good Food, Great selection of home brewed beer and resonably priced. On the second night we ate at the Prime Steak House. Excellent food, the owner greeted us at the door and checked in on us many times during our meal. He also shared a lot about the City of Aiken, SC and some things to do and see if we had the time. Maybe the best steak dinner of my life.

stinky, dinky and a rip off
We were attending the Master's and had heard that Aiken was close and a beautiful town to visit. Pool was closed even though it was 95 degrees outside. Room was stinky and damp. Wood trim around bathroom door looked like someone had hacked it with an ice pick. $210 a night for this dump makes me sick. Just paid less than that to stay in Philly at a 4 star hotel.
