Extended Stay America Providence - Airport - West Warwick

We were traveling with our children. When we checked in, we were told we'd get 2 rooms right next to each other. Instead, they were down the hall & around the corner from each other. To top it off, I left my pillow there. When we called, they said they'd box it for us if we could arrange to have FedEx pick it up. We did. When my pillow arrived at my home, they'd switched out my contoured pillow for a hotel pillow, but still sent it in my own pillowcase. That was expensive shipping for a hotel pillow. I'm appauled at the dishonesty we encountered at the Extended Stay.

Visit family in area it was convenient. Ice machine would have been nice with heat. Previous visits to Extended Stay were cheaper

The hotel was outdated, walking into the lobby I thought its standards were high but once I entered my room I was embarrassed I brought my wife there; seemed cheap and smelled. I guess the old saying goes you get what you pay for...wouldn't recommend this place, spend a little more so you can relax which was intended.

I arrived late (11pm) and was told all they had left was a smoking room. Sucks because I paid for a non-smoking room so you would think they would have saved a non-smoking room aside. Desk worker claimed when I booked online "it came through that way", all though I doubt that's the case because she pointed it out even before she knew I had requested a non-smoking room. Kind of fishy, but it was too late for me to argue too much- I just wanted to get to sleep...

There were two plates, two glasses, etc, down to two pieces of silverware and one steak knife for the two of us to share. With a kitchenette, you might want to assume the renters just might want to cook and eat in. A large bowl, a pitcher would have been nice. There was a colander for straining spaghetti, but no pan big enough to cook any in. It was a pretense of having a kitchen to cook with. We had to purchase what we needed and give them to our son when we left. That was disappointing and expensive. The hotel itself was clean and we enjoyed it. Also, when a person asks at the desk for toilet paper, they should get it then, not hours later have it brought to them. We had to leave to use a public restroom after we had waited two hours. Sad.

I was very dissatisfied with this hotel and would not use it again. If you only need a place to flop it is okay. My first room stunk, literally. It smelled of spilt beer and cigarettes so bad a whole can of could not conquer the odor. I asked for another room after a few days and had the inconvenience of having to pack back up and move. The second room was much better and didn't smell. They only clean once a week unless you want to pay for extra. There is free coffee and newspapers in the morning. The staff however was refreshingly helpful and nice. This is a good place for out of town construction workers or people who are only looking for a place to flop at night.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was uneventful. The hotel was easy to get to and there was plenty of room for my children and I. This hotel seems suited for business travelers or visitors who need a lengthy stay. The kitchen area would have been perfect if I was in need of storing food or having breakfast every morning or making lunches to take with us on day trips. Unfortunately, I only required an overnight stay for my family. There is no fitness center or breakfast center or pool, so this is not well-suited for families. However, it was very close to many businesses and restaurants, so we were able to find something close by for meals.
