The location was perfect for our attendance convenience to the Convention center. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room ... but when we did, we couldn't get even a bottle of water after the hotel convenience shop closed because there were no vending machines that we could find...We felt it odd that our room was not provided with even the standard hotel directory informations. We had to go to the mall across the street to find out what was available for dinner as we didn't want to eat at the hotel. We used room service for breakfast and the attendant was very pleasant and delivery was prompt. The breakfast food was just standard. Overall the room was clean and looked fairly new. While we personally did not care for the design, everything was in good repair other then the massive curtins which we couldn't close all the way. Mattress sets were comfortabe, plenty of pillows. The in room phone did not work.. The cleaning staff did not clean our room until late in the day, (3:30)..she indicated if we didn't have her come in then, that we would not get it cleaned because she went off duty at 4PM. This was inconvenient for us as we'd spent an early long day at the convention center and wanted to put our feet up. We ended up letting her come in to clean and we left the room and waited in the lobby. I was booked for a "city view" and was given a room facing the highway. I could have gotten more value for my money at another hotel. I would stay at this hotel again if I needed a location close to the convention center. Otherwise I would not, it just seemed like a lot of money for little service and conveniences.

The Westin Providence is a very nice business hotel. My only two complaints are: 1) would like a makeup mirror in the ... bathroom, and 2) the limited number of channels on the elliptical I used in the fitness center. I had a choice of 4 channels (which is very limited) and only 2 worked (football and Fox News), neither of which I like to watch.

This is my first time to stay with Westin, The hotel is very nice but a little bit hard to find the entrance. My daughters ... love that the hotel have a connection to the Providence Place Mall and it have every things for everyone. The Westin is only hotel in that area that have a swimming pool but it kind of a little bit far from my room. I stayed at the 2 double beds nice room , nice bathroom but the room was smell new paint or from the carpet either one of that. Overall is nice but a little bit of walking to downtown or midtown and the town is very quiet nothing,It was a 4th of July day no Fireworks,no open market, no stores open. Only 1 thing that was upset me was the refrigerator in the room, I had milk and left over foods,so I took the drinks out and use the empty spaces for my stuffs, When I Check-out, my jaws drop because I got charges, Please be careful and ask the front desk when you check-in.
