Elegant lobby; friendly, not fawning, staff; fast and smooth car handling, luggage movement and check-in; four elevators; ... big, high ceiling rooms, big windows, good temperature control, top restaurant and a Starbucks off lobby, two blocks to best riverfront restaurants; and two blocks to art district. I use it for business trips. It's my wife's first choice for couples travel.

Good Stay
Matty Oct 26, 2009
While the valet line was a bit slow once we got to them they took the car quickly and we went to check in. Check in was nice ... and quick and the room was SPOTLESS. Very clean and tidy. LOVED the big chair :) When I called down for my car the day of checkout they brought it up right on time. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Don't go here!
Wedding God Parents Oct 20, 2009
Radiator heater in the living room that you could here it in the bedroom with both doors closed. Called the front desk and ... they said they would send someone up to fix it. Came back to the room late after a wedding and it was still making loud noises. Complained at the front desk and the only thing they said they could do is comp me the $24 for overnight parking because I made the trip through a 3rd party. Will never stay there again/

BED BUGS IN THE BEDS!!
Scratching Still Aug 24, 2009
After checking in to the hotel with a very nice front desk staff, we entered the "orbitz special" suite as our bill call it ... to see dark stains all over the floors. The room was bigger than advertised but we woke up in the morning to find we were not the only things in the bed, we woke up with about 50 bug bites on our bodies, bed bugs. I would bring your own sheets and wear shoes at all times if you plan on staying at this place.

Biltmore - Lots of built up urine stains
Frequent Hotel User Aug 24, 2009
They should be a shame - I smelled something the next morning in the white linen draped bed. I pulled off the bed sheet and ... notices many months of urine stains on the mattress cover - Dirty, plain dirty. The air quality in the halls and rooms are pretty bad too. The rugs throughout the hotel are matted pretty bad -- looks like they are using the wrong vacuum. I am glad I did order room service, might have a surprise there too, not sure. The valet parking was nice, the only five star service in the joint.

First impression, great location and friendly valet. (My daughter left her ipod in the car and valet was kind enough to ... bring it to us when we were checking in). Front desk service was forgettable. Room was very nice. WARNING!! Wedding reception had the music blasting and the walls vibrated...Called the front desk and complained, said they would see if they could lower the sound. Ask about your room location and wedding receptions.

College Visitor Jul 15, 2009
The desk service was quick and accommodating. The room was in great shape. The hotel was pretty busy, but still quiet. The ... restaurant downstairs was really good. I chose the hotel mainly because the housekeepers are unionized, but there are plenty of other reasons to stay here.

DougWhit Jul 3, 2009
This was a one overnite stay on business. We went looking for the historic appeal of the hotel, Not disappointed. The lobby ... is fantastic. The staff is very friendly seems to be a trait in Rhode Island. Not so much 25 miles north! The rooms are older but renovated, very clean. Well worth the stop, will definately return! Reccomend to anyone looking for old charm with high class appeal.

Great Location
SC Jun 25, 2009
Everything at the hotel was perfect, with the exception of one thing. My room was directly below the ballroom, so I was able ... to hear the DJ and dancing on my ceiling until about 11:30 PM. I was on business and really needed the rest. But, the service at this hotel is absolutely over the top and I would definitely stay again.

Picky Guest who was pleased Jun 4, 2009
I was in town for a friends wedding who's reception was in the hotel (the ballroom where the cocktail hour and dinner were ... held was nothing short of spectacular!). The only tiny (repeat TINY) complaint I had was the lack of a hotel store containing snacks, drinks, aspirin, toiletries, etc. Always makes for a nicer trip when you don't have to worry about the little things you may have forgotten. Other than that I would certainly recommend it without hesitation!

Great Location
David Dec 23, 2008
This hotel is in a fantastic location, overlooking the local Mall and the ice rink. There are several great resturants ... withing easy walking distance. The hotel overall was great, althought the rooms could use a bit of a spruce up (a couple of spots in the room had peeling wall paper and the windows did not seal out all the December chill).

Good Value for a 'fancy' hotel
Adam Aug 10, 2008
This hotel was clean, very comfortable and stylish. It maintains a decor of a more traditional era, with contemporary ... accents. The staff are happy to help, but seem to be young to the service industry. A little rough around the edges, but interested in pleasing their guests. Our room was at a discount rate, and was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but it was organized in an efficient layout and was very comfortable to use. There was no dresser to store clothing, only a small closet. It is a very central location, and we could walk around the entire city and find our way home easily.
Traveler type: Business
Most restaurants in this town are fairly expensive. It was difficult to find mid-priced food. Also, there were like 36 dunkin' donuts within a 10 block radius. Great restaurant that we visited was Local 121, just around the corner from the hotel.

My review of Providence Biltmore
Erin Jun 12, 2008
The Providence Biltmore hotel was very friendly and comfortable. The hotel staff was superb, and every one of them went out ... of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. For example, one of the evening managers bought me aloe vera for a sunburn after I had mentioned that the nearby convenience store did not sell any. The hotel is also perfectly located. A three story mall was one block away, little Italy was a five minute walk, trolleys for sight-seeing were immediately in front of the hotel, etc.
