In the heart of it all...
There was a great concert playing in a small stadium like area across from our room. We walked to the local mall and shops. Service was great at the front desk. We were there for only one night with the family, but over all it was great. Great spot to be in.

Rock Star
Rock N Roll
Excellent location for the Rock N Roll Providence half marathon. We had a perfect view, clean room and overall great experience! My only dissappointment was the pouring rain and I thought the staff could have had towels available as we came inside and the floors mopped. They were slippery in the elevator.

A Loser Visit to an Attractive Place
We were in town for one night, to see the Musical Mama Mia. The building is beautiful and location was primo. However, these rooms are equipped with "space heater" that are linked to the thermostat on the wall. This "space heater", when it came on was monsterously loud. So loud--we couldn't sleep. We ended up turning off the heat...and remember it 30 Dec 10 and there's snow on the ground. There was thin blanket on the bed--which would have been fine if the heat was on. At least there was one thin blanket in a drawer. Waking up to a cold room is not what anyone wants, let alone for a paid room in nice hotel. I wrote up the maintenance tag that was in the room and dropped it off at the desk when we left. The clerk was....not professional. I handed her the maintenance tag and told her the problem. She said, "Did you call maintenance?' Well....no. We got back to our room late and we were tired. We initially thought that we could put up with this noisy unit...that kept coming on, then off, then on.... We didn't feel like calling maintenance after 11PM (who knew when Maintenance would show up...or how long they'd be there). We had a great night and there is no way we were getting re-dressed and repacked to move to another room. The astonishing thing is the hotel clerk made no apologies or efforts to be nice (She could have at least said something like...We're sorry for your inconvenience). The shame of this was a nice hotel, a primo night for our visit to Providence only to be spoiled by a hotel that pays little attention to their rooms/maintenance issues, and not training their hotel staff to act professionally. I wished I could have written a glowing review.....but I can't. Not being able to sleep in a hotel room (noise), waking up to a cold room gets them a max of one star on any scale

Great Hotel, super scary area, 4 serious
The inside of the hotel was fantastic. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was quite comfortable. The couch in the room was a bit uncomfortable, but it served its purpose. The area was a wee bit nasty. There were men everywhere looking at me and my husband. It seems the mall area is a great place for robber men to follow people. I was stopped by being cornered and asked to help someone out with there money problems. Luckily I only had a dollar cash on me. I was so scared I almost wet my pants. There seemed to be other people looking at me as I walked around. Great hotel. Spooky area!

Good Time in Providence
Providence Courtyard is right in the middle of downtown Providence. Union Station Brewery (part of the Jasper Murdoch's chain) is right outside the front door. Trinity Brewery is a few blocks away. It's a ten minute drive to see the Paw Sox. Great place to stay.
