The Wyndham Vacation Resorts Newport OnShore offers guests modern one-, two- or three-bedroom vacation suites along the harbor on Thames Street. The recently-renovated property includes in-suite kitchens, full-sized washer/dryer units, Jacuzzi tubs, leather furniture and more. Spacious time to relax
Wonderful place to enjoy total relaxation... very spacious and great views from both balconies. Near all the great spots in Newport. Thanks for such a good deal.

Lovely view, apartment type room
Staff were kind of cold, and luckily I had the names of the person who assured us that we could change the room to just one night from two, as they claimed we had cancelled all when we arrived. But they acccomodated us ultimately though not with good cheer! The apartment was good value though, and it was a prime view of the harbor. Adequate comfort and cleanliness, the location and view of Newport Harbor were the best things about it. Kind of noisy either in the room above or down on the dock late that night. Overall would go back.

more like an apartment. Had a small kitchen and two bedrooms and two bathrooms which would be great with a family. We could walk to the shops and many restaurants. Plus you could see the harbor from some of the windows. Clean and very helpful staff.

Good location, great room, good price
Hotel right on the harbor. Great view. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Minor negatives. Parking very tight even with our compact car. Unseasonably cold and very windy during our visit. Rooms drafty.

Wonderful seafood in Newport. Clam chowder at La Forge, scallops at the Red Parrot, crab cakes at the Cook House.

Awesome accomodations
After a snag at check in where they wanted to make us change our room the last night of our stay..the rest of our vacation was wonderful. WOnderful location, room was big enough for 2 families, balconies were fantastic.

Nothing spectacular, but decent
We spent 5 days in Newport doing the mansions, cliffwalk, winery, shopping... The first morning woke up and saw ants crawing around the kitchen, kids bathroom, outside hallway by our door. They gave me a can of ant spray. To keep within our budget, I cooked alot. Wish there were nonstick pans and at least a cookie sheet. No dish detergent/sponges but there were packets of automatic dishwasher pdr. We arrived a little after 7pm and had to go back around the block and check in at another Wyndham hotel to get our keys. Pain in the neck after driving for four hours. Gave us expired coupons to use for $ off Mansion tours. But Mansion wouldn't accept them. Also, the living room furniture was so uncomfortable you didn't even want to sit. The dining room table was on it's last leg.

Dont go to Juicy Cheesey. For the 45 minutes or so that we were in there, everyone who stepped in that place got the wrong order. The guy had no idea who ordered what and a lot of the orders went back because they were wrong including my daughters. Never again. It should be called, Spin the Wheel and get Somebody Else's Meal!!!
