Pineapple Inn

The Pinapple Inn is indeed the cheepest Hotel in Newport/Middletown Rhode Island, but I would not recomend it. My first night, first room was terrible, I found someones dirty socks under the bed along with some trash, the room had not been vacumed and was dirty in general. The next day I asked to be moved to another room. It was a little better but the ac/heat unit started making a funny noise. I couldn't turn it off so I unplugged it, Looking at the plug it looked kind of burnt. Who knows, it scared me so I didn't use it. I decided not to stay my next night, I was over it.I would recomend spending a little more money and staying somewhere else.

This is an ordinary motel. Due to the fact that it is located in newport automatically puts it into a high price category. The main issue we had was how dirty it was! The mold and mildew in the bathroom was disgusting. I had to go out and buy my own Tilex and air freshener as the staff didn't take care of it. Beware and check the inside carefully. NEVER AGAIN!

Room rundown and dirty. Bed linens for queen size on a king size bed. Bathroom door wouldn't close as incorrect bolts used on hinges. All baseboard heaters rusted, dirty, and chipped. Carpet soiled. Mold in the shower. Furnature needs an overhaul, at least a coat of paint. Vent filters dirty.

there were people living at the hotel that appeared to be low income families with lots of children. the worst orbitz has ever done for us!

DId not last long, me and wife was there for approx. 15 minutes. At first we were going to make the best of it, but my wife didn't like the area, and neither did I. The hotel room looks old, and it smelled. The bathroom looks filthy. We were pep talking our selves into staying there (2 nights) but it did not last. As soon as we lifted the comforter back the sheets were dingy brown and the pillows!! Never seen nothing like that in my entire life staying at hotels!! The linen they had looked like 50 people slept in them, and they still had not changed the sheets! That was it for my wife as well as me! We hadn't even unpacked yet! We took our luggage and placed it back into the car! I demanded my money back and she tried to give me a new room, and I refused! (to even look at one) You seen them once you seen them all! I had just flew from VA all the way to RI, I was tired and wanted a clean, safe place to stay, but that was not the case, or the feedback I had read from other postings, who claimed it was a decent place to stay! They have false pictures to me as well, posted on their site! We settled on them taking that day portion of payment, and they refunded me day 2 payment and I stayed at another (major chain) hotel, with clean linen and complimentary breakfast! The bathroom was clean and it smelled like bleach! The maids actually cleaned! Unlike Pineapple INN!! They even have the nerve to have envelopes on the night stand requesting for the occupants to leave tips for the maids, for cleaining the rooms! THEY DON"T CLEAN THE ROOMS! since when 1988???? It was horrible! BEWARE!!!! Oh, yeah one other thing, their ammenties claim they have Free WI FI!! THE WI FI DON"T WORK!!! When I conncected to their WI FI they took me off!! THey kept linking me off the WI FI, there was no connection and the Cell Phones barely work there, and I have a great Name Brand Cell Phone company!

Stayed at Pineapple Inn during Oktoberfest. Room was not clean, coffee pot had not been cleaned, phone in room did not work.

Went to Rhode Island for a few days with friends. Sadly, our room did not even have the basics. The tub was dirty and did not drain; the shower head was leaking; the bathroom door did not close; the chair was so dirty, and sticky, that we could not even sit on it; the sheets were not changed for the three nights that we were there! I could go on and on.... I know this is not a 5 star hotel and did not expect 5 star service, but at the very least, if things were clean I would have had no complaints. When I asked to be switched to another room, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. Refunds were not an option. I did not go to another motel since my friends were from another country and they did not feel comfortable staying there by themselves. I have come to the conclusion that it was probably the worst room in the place that they never usually put people in, but they had to put us in that room since no other rooms were available for that high demand weekend! I would never stay here again, nor would I ever recommend this place to anybody.

I would have payed double what I paid to get a clean room than what i got her. The bathroom was nasty, with hair all over. I had to wear my sandles to shower and walk around. If you're looking for a budget and don't care about cleanliness then this your place, otherwise pay the extra money and stay elsewhere.

Bad cleanning, never come back there, Bath doesant work, Bad bad bad
