overpriced
The amenities were great,except the shuttle is very small for the amount of rooms they have and the cost for staying there.We had to wait in the freezing cold with two elderly friends while the shuttle took two more trips before they could take us back to hotel.The rooms are very small and both times I stayed there something was broken in the room.Our bathroom door was broken and would not close.,(we had 4women in the room)and they could not fix it.They told us they had no other rooms(both times!)so they offered us a breakfast.I will never stay there again because of the room conditions.The rest of the hotel is beautiful,but it is a hotel so they need to fix their rooms and get another shuttle.

Great Location!
Our room overlooked the Newport Bridge which was beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and room was very clean. We had drinks and dessert in the bar which were fine. The fireplace is a great touch- it was a cold February night in Newport- but still a wonderful time.

Hyatt Regency Newport
the hotel was beautiful, but the hotel restaraunt was just awfull. housekeeping was very annoying too. it was nice that they cared to come clean your room but they would come so early in the morning (around 7 or 8 am) and knock on the door every time. why don't they just wait until normal check out time? at least then they know you should be awake.

Good trip
The staff was friendly and the hotel views were great. Offered bike tour which was great and the guide was wonderful. Yoga class and gym were above average.

Hyatt on Goat's Island
Hotel was nice.Shuttle into Newport a great feature. Fell a little short of expectations. Location and views fantastic. Had a leak in the first room we were given, but problem was corrected. Staff very helpful and attentive.

Staff was friendly and helpful
Staff was friendly and helpful and room was clean. I was only staying for 1 night, so I didn't get to explore what facilities were available at the hotel. Great waterfront view of the harbor from all rooms, which was great. Very pricey for what I would consider off-season (end of October), but I guess that it is a tourist trap area regardless of time of year. Room was typical although it did have flat-screen tv. There was a $20 fee for guest parking, but they did provide a free shuttle service downtown under that fee which we did use and found helpful. It ran every half-hour on the hour. Although there was the shuttle, the location is away from downtown and is too long a walk in unpleasant weather (chilly and very windy that day).
