Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport

Many things missing from room. Staff calls your room and lets it ring off the hook just before check-out time. Then at check-out time, on the dot, they stood outside our door until we left. Rude and very weird.

I'm not going to waste time on the description - let's just say this was the worst hotel I've ever seen from the cleanliness, to the odor, to the location to the staff. Do not stay here, ever.

My husband and I were totally dismayed at the poor quality of the main lobby and worse yet, our actual room. It was awful walking into the room and confronting a very damp smell; a few seconds before we walked into the room, a hotel worker apparently walked into the room and turned on the air conditioner, but it just aggravated the situation. And when it started raining in the middle of the night, we heard dripping and realized in tbe morning that it was in our room in the closet area. Everything about the room was an abomination to any traveler seeking a clean, decent place to sleep. Never again!

I had reserved a non smoking room. The room we were given was a smoking room- probably could have seen a puff of smoke when the door first opened. The sheets had HUGE hairballs and cigarette burns in them... the drawers had toenail clippings inside... and the mattress was completely falling apart. The "maid" was folding towels outside our window... which were drying on rusty shopping carts in the back! We immediately tried to get a refund and the man at the desk (who was a sweetheart when we first came in) started screaming at us telling us "it's your problem, not ours". We ended up getting a refund however, were charged a $25 cancellation fee... anything was better than staying there!

Hotel was disguisting and dirty. Sheets and pillows smelled like ciggarette smoke. Place is very dirty. Staff sucked. Place should be torn down.

Staff was kind and the room seemed clean, but this place is in sore need of some love, a coat of paint or two, and a serious scrub. It served our need for the night. Fridge, air conditioning all worked fine.

It was about a half hour away from Narragansett Beaches and Newport, and the cheapest place I could find (around $100). The room had a king size bed, bathroom, fridge & chair, but it just seemed old. Sheets were clean, but I just felt grimy.

First the price was not the same as [...] quoted then the room had a stench of mildew/water damage broken air conditioners outside MY DOOR COB WEBS EVERYWHERE WALLS WITH PUNCH MARKS IN THEM AND AFTER I SPOKE PROFESSIONALY TO THE STAFF I WAS STILL PUT IN THE SAME ROOM FOR OUR SECOND NITE NEVER AGAIN WITH [...] FOR THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS IVE SEEN ENOUGH MR SMITH [@]

The Budget Inn North Kingstown RI was absolutely the worst place to stay. For instance the walls and switchplates were filthy. Dead flies crushed onto the walls. Lampshades were torn falling to pieces, wallpaper peeling, dirt in drawers. DINGY appearance, old worn out bedsheets and comforter dirty with stains, pillows old without plastic protective covering. Box spring with stains. Horrible odor of musky cigarettes, mold. Bathroom with mold on ceiling above shower and on shower curtain.bathroom shade stapled together.I used my own towel and kept my shoes on. Used the luggage rack, didn't place anything on the floor, washed everything as soon as i got home. Really overpriced for the FOLKFEST weekend. It would have been worth it to spend extra on a hotel in Newport.This place would never be recommended. It's not worth paying over $30 night! Thankfully i didn't bring my child.
