Value property close to the Newport waterfront with outdoor pool, Wi-Fi

Try to stay somewhere else first
A few problems: The heat was basically on or off. When we arrived in the room it was cold. We turned the heat on the room heated up quickly but even after turning the heat down it got too hot. The bed was very uncomfortable. I saw bugs in the corner of the bathroom that came out of the wall and went back in. Don't even try to use the wifi you will be better off with smoke signals it is so slow. The breakfast area was too small, but the food was ok.

Not what I expected
Had to check in late, around midnight. They were very accomodating and assured me I had a room. Compared to other hotels, it was a lot cheaper. I didn't expect much, and wasn't sure if it would be a good place. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Extremely nice staff that always greets you and is pleasant with a good attitude. I wasn't there for amenities, but they were average. It was clean, cozy and relaxing. I would have no problem staying there again and I would recommend it in a heart beat!

The good and the mostly bad
The good: It was decent space room and bath room. The bad: The bed wasn't placed properly on the frame and therefore one side of the frame was projecting 5 inches to outside. My wife's leg hit on this frame and bruised pretty bad; she is still in pain. I notified the office attend of the frame in the morning but nothing was done to fix it. The bed sheets were full of blood spots, from bed bugs or something else and it was disgusting.

Good price, great location
Stayed here with a group of fellow cyclists for a 3 day cycle trip. The staff accomodated our bikes cheerfully, made sure we all had ground floor rooms. Not the newest place -- rooms show some wear, but there was a coffemaker in the room, a refridgerator, iron, all the essentials. Breakfast was included -- addequate for our purposes. Bed was comforatable and place was quiet. The pool was very refreshing after a day of cycling. This is my second stay here for this annual cycle trip and I will stay here again next year.

not that great
rooms on the bottom floor have musty,moldy smell.I got moved to upstairs and much better. Fairly clean room,paint peeling here and there. Thin walls so if you have loud neighbors u here it all.
