Ok, so this isn't a roach motel, but it definitely isn't a five star. Lets face it, it's dated and not much different than a interstate motel. However, the staff made the evening memorable. They were nice. T he rooms were cheesy and bed was old with each spring standing up to let you know they were still there. Great location to everything in Newport. Definitely not romantic or luxurious.....

One day before
Decided to go for a day trip. Booked it the night before. Reception is good. Top room is great as it has high ceiling, but you have to walk up the third floor as there is no elevator, but there is an elevator up to the second floor. There are only three rooms on the third floor. We had a frig, micro, king. The view, well, we are not there for the view. Breakfast was great, just the stuff needed. Bagel, cereal, micro sausage cheese crossaints, juice, yogurt, HB egg, oatmeal, coffee, tea, milk. Great price for the location to the town. Clean.

The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The location was perfect, only a short drive to Newport. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Weekend road trip ,
The inn was clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. Our room was clean, quiet with good amenities. The continental breakfast was slightly above average. The decor could use some updating. The price is great and not inflated. We stopped on broadway where we found a bunch of cool eclectic shops,cafe', and places to eat, right around the corner from the inn. It can be a short bike ride to the harbor or beach, or drive a few minutes.

Great hotel for the price
My husband and I had a very nice stay. The Carriage House was immaculate and within minutes to all the Newport attractions.The ONLY negative was that the one mattress needed to be replaced, a bit depleted on the one side. The continental breakfast was convenient, staff cordial and pleasant. We would consider staying there again.

Quality Motel
For an old Victorian house, the hotel was well-appointed, very clean, and, to a large degree, updated. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The maid service was excellent but not intrusive. Its location was very convenient to everything. And finally, the price was inexpensive compared to its overall value.
