Rodeway Inn Middletown

i read that its smells like curry. and it did. at least not the area our room was in. the owner must live on the premises. only planned on staying one night so i wasnt expecting much. they could improve on the housekeeping.

Great joint. Cheap fares and friendly staff. Nifty and well trimmed rooms. Nice size for an INN.

The hotel is fine. The staff is pleasant and the room was clean. It would be hard to beat for the price. I will be staying there regularly when in the area for business. Good internet and breakfast.

Frist of all the rate was a bragain , good staff,rooms ever clean , easy from downtown like a mile.we had a good time

CLose to where I was traveling to in the area. A lot of good places to eat within walking distance. the room was very spacious, and clean.

Staff very helpful. Location was great for seeing Newport, New Bedford, and Naval Station

This was our first and last time staying at the Rodeway. Our shower head was missing, a strong smell of curry was prevalent in the place, and it quickly became clear why this hotel's rate is so reasonable.

We were on a business trip. The late night coffee was horrible, but there was a Dominoes Pizza next door. It was on a fairly busy corner with police cars(lights and siren) going by all night. The beds were uncomfortable.

All was good other than When I arrived the woman working at the front desk was unable to help me out with canceling Sunday night's stay. She said I had to contact [...] but I had no info available to do so. We left the hotel Sunday morning because I was called into work for early Monday and could not stay that night. I wish there was something that could have been done as I gave ample notice.

I stayed at this hotel because of it's price and proximity to Newport. Most of the newport hotels were booked and the ones that were not were a few hundred more than this hotel. The rodeway seemed like a great price at the time. Upon arriving at our room we noticed an exposed exhaust fan overhead that was very loud and would make our room sound more like an airplane hanger than a hotel room. It was a non-smoking room that smelled heavily of smoke and must. The towels had stains on them and the room did not look clean. The room is very small, as were the "queen" size beds. I would say they were full size. The shower was disgusting, we did not use it. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location. The price I had initially thought was a steal, was a rip off. It's more of a motel and the price should be more like half that/night. Next time I will definitely shell out the extra money for a better/cleaner hotel. Will NEVER stay here again :)
