Will return. Quiet, clean and back from the road. Good value.

they were apologetic but there was no significant effect to compensate for not providing internet as advertised which significantly affected our trip.

We had a short stay at the hotel and if we had know it was so nice, the hotel and area we would have stayed a few days.

good experience, good amenities, nice room everything convienient. But way and I mean WAY overpriced.

I haven't stayed at a Howard Johnson's since I was a child so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. I didn't use the pool but those who did said it was lovely. The attached Applebee's was a bonus for late night snacks. The hotel was close enough to Newport to be convenient and far enough away to avoid all Newport's traffic/parking difficulties.

We took a last minute family trip to the beach, and we booked the Howard Johnson's in Middletown, RI. I was traveling with my husband, ten year old and twin 6 year-olds. The building itself, as well as the surrounding "view" is nothing to write home about, however, we were not expecting it to be. Our room was a non-smoking double queen bedroom which was exactly that. I have a very sensitive nose and we got what we asked for. (However, someone on the floor below us was smoking outside our balcony, but simple solution; close the door!) The beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE fluffy mattress pad and super fluffy pillows. So fluffy and wonderful that I am looking into getting a fluffy pad for home!! The room was clean and neat, with a microwave and fridge. It had a convenience sink outside the bathroom which was wonderful when traveling with four other people. The room had free wi-fi which delighted my techie ten year-old and the front desk was more than pleasant when calling for the code. (new code for each device sort of annoying, but did not deter her) Pool area was being renovated, but usable. Again, we were not there to look at it, but to USE it. Nice jacuzzi. Applebee's within stone's throw and speed dial set up to call there for to-go orders- a perk. All in all, fabulous for our needs.

We were looking for a hotel to stay in for our daughter's graduation. This hotel is pet friendly. The room was very clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

basic budget room, clean with easy access. good price with friendly service. liked the idea of 2 sinks in the room, one outside the bathroom area.

the location was great ,the staff very friendly,the room was nice and very confortable with a good view that we enjoyed by sitting out side,we also had good moments at the pool and jacuzi the only down side is that the pool closes at 10pm.it` was a very good trip, and we are planing going back very soon.

not that bad. we drove up from the Eastern Shore of MD, a 12 hour trip for business. we took our 4 week old son with us (my husband and I). we got there at around 9:30PM. they tell my husband, while the baby is crying from being in the car for 12 hours), that the room we were supposed to get wasn't clean (at 10PM?) and they didnt have any more king deluxe rooms like we paid for in advance. instead they said they were gonna give us one of the newly renovated rooms (whoop de doo), which was 2 Queen beds. nothing spectacular whatsoever. there was a balcony, but it looked out towards the other rooms. ground floor. so we paid for a king deluxe and we got a 2 queen bed room instead. nice. the amentities were nice (basket with water and cereal bars for morning)and the shower was nice...although i had to kill 2 spiders at 3AM (eww) and the walls were so thin i could hear the conversation of our neighbors. im sure they werent happy with our son who cried at 3AM either. Next time i will pay an extra 20 bucks and stay at the hyatt.
