Hotel just north of downtown Newport offers free Wi-Fi and breakfast
The Hampton Inn & Suites Newport/Middletown, located just two miles north of downtown Newport, offers business and leisure travelers comfortable accommodations with nice amenities. We had a nice stay at the hotel. The staff was helpful, the room was good and we all enjoyed the pool/hot tub. The location was an easy ride to downtown Newport. Would definitely stay again...

Comfortable, great service
The staff was very friendly and extremely accomodating. Newport was too far to walk, but the front desk provided us with a bus schedule, and guest services got us a Taxi right away.

Need to take a bus or Taxi to get to Newport, but bus stops right out front. Taxi was about $10, less than we would have paid to park in town.

Very comfortable
The hotel was conveniently located near many of the main areas as well as a short drive to the Washington Square area. Really enjoyed the plush pillows and comfortable bed. Maid service was also extremely nice!

Comfortable and Comforting
I reserved a suite for my younger sister and her family. My sister was nearly nine months pregnant and I wanted to give her a chance to enjoy a bit of zero gravity in the hotel pool. I had also wanted to give her and her man a night away to enjoy while I cared for their young son. The hotel is terrific, staff friendly and professional. The complimentary breakfast is complete with buffet of eggs, bacon etc. My sister preferred her own bed, who could blame her. I enjoyed the suite myself, beds were incredibly comfortable and beautifully covered with white linens and white quilted comforter. Suite furniture was modern and tasteful, not your run of the mill ugly hotel furniture. French doors separated the bedroom from the living room and kitchenette, terrific. Flat screen television in both the bedroom and the living room, very fun for two year old to watch cartoons on one tv and for the grown ups to watch news and winter olympics on the other. Plenty of hot water in the bath and a great separate sink area. Finally plenty of closet space and two dressers for your things. Thanks Hampton Inn, I appreciate it.

Short walk from hotel
Hotel is in the middle of commercial area, i.e. stores and fast food restaurants adjacent historic Newport, Rhode Island. A terrific deal for the money. Hotel is on busy secondary highway, within walking distance of Applebees but you will want to drive to Newport.

The BEST value for your money!!!!!!!!
I just want to say that I was TOTALLY satisfied with my entire experience/stay...I was running the Newport Half Marathon and did not want to worry about a clean room and place to lay my head...it was imperative that I get a good night's sleep and feel comfortable in doing so...Must add that after the race, I needed a place to change out of my soaking clothes (it rained the ENTIRE time) and while I had already checked out and it was a little past the check out time of 11:00 a.m., I asked the front dest if I could go back up and simply use the room to change out of wet clothes - they accommodated and were SUPER in letting me do so....YOU ROCK! Best hotel for the price, conveniently located to everything...restaurants, downtown Newport (only a few miles away) and the service was SUPERB. I have stayed at 5 star hotels in my past - and this DEFINITELY compared!!!!!!!!! I would recommend this place to everyone I know!!! Racers for 2010 season - this is a must if you race in the area!

Convenient, comfortable, clean
Easy to find, conveniently located, cookies and coffee available ALL day. Superior staff! Personable, friendly, helpful, responsive. They made our stay outstanding.

Very good hotel in tourist area
The Hampton Inn and Suites of Middletown, RI. is an excellent place to stay while visiting beautiful Newport. Close to the Naval Station, Narragansett Bay and the Historic attractions, the hotel is a new Hampton and a very good one. It is of award winning caliber, with fine rooms and service and ample parking.
