Hilton Garden Inn Wilkes Barre

This was a great place to stay! Lots of restaurants nearby, the hotel was easy to get to, nice rooms. All around a good experience. :) The only thing I would recommend is to watch out for events going on at the arena nearby which can snarl up traffic pretty bad.

I was very happy with the cleanliness of the rooms as well as how quiet it was. My housekeeping person left a personal note on my bed and that is almost unheard of. I will definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn if I am in the area again in the future.

Nice hotel. Comfortable. Clean. Small pool. Located next to restaurants and shopping. Convenient. Particularly nice lounge area in front. Computer access, comfortable couches, fireplace. Staff not especially friendly.

Great location with plenty of nice restaurants, variety of shopping/stores(target, walmart, marshalls, bestbuy, big shopping mall), and entertainment. Nearby upscale casino. All under 10 minutes from hotel. Would defenitly stay again or recommand to family or friend.

New, clean, great breakfast, next to wonderful Japanese restaurant and mall. Easy access from highway.

Lovely property with great access to major highways. Nice room. A/C unit rather noisy. I first tried booking via phone directly and was told "no rooms available" for a block of rooms reserved for a wedding. The reservation clerk was not helpful and I don't think she even checked. [...] The front desk staff did not provide any helpful service when we checked in on a Friday and did not seem to really want to provide any service or information about the area. The weekend front desk day clerk was helpful and friendly. The shuttle driver was a wonderful person-friendly and accommodating. She deserves a raise! I would recommend visiting a nearby restaurant for breakfast as the hotel breakfast was not well prepared and not worth the money.

hotel was fine but when you expect a pool and there is none availlable than there is a damper on your whole vacation

Front Desk staff was superior. Met the General Manager twice and she was superior. Staff in the entire hotel was superior. Rooms are super, comfortable, and very quiet. Breakfast is great. I've met Sale Managers before, but this lady was a total pleasure to talk to. In fact the entire staff would go out of their way to say Hello no matter what they were doing.

I was there for a video shoot of a commercial. The place was wonderful, the staff was amazing. I suspect it's in a little bit of an out of the way location (although I don't know that for sure.) It was perfect for us, right near where we needed to be for the shoot. Located in a modest mall with several simple family friendly restaurants. Staff was wonderful. Paid breakfast in wonderful setting. Tiny but friendly bar area at nite. Pool, fitness. Staff 5+

The Hilton Garden Inn is highly recommended. The room was clean , spacious and the bed was very comfortable . It was located next to the Wachovia center ( about a 10 minute walk) and dining options were also wihin walking distance.
