Needs some work
Overall, not a bad experience. But the building could use a makeover generally. Had an issue with the shower in our room. First, instead of a traditional shower head, there was a hand held one that barely put out any water. It was mounted on a sliding track and there was no way to secure it from sliding to the bottom of the track or keep it from coming off the top of the track. Tried to jury rig it to get it to say but no luck. Very frustrating. The building and rooms are pretty beat up and need an updating.

Not a typical Hampton Inn
I booked a non-smoking room, but when i went to check in they said they did not have any available. The room was tiny! There was water damage on the roof,the toilet was dirty,when i called front desk the girl was very rude and appeared to be eating something. I was in a hurry to book for the game and wish i would have researched the hotels better,because i would not have stayed there esp. for what they charged!

Hampton In on College Av
Best location for a PSU football game in State College!!! The only downer....our room had one double bed. Most couples are used to sleeping on Kings.

Perfect for our needs! Great price!
We were in State College to rest and to visit the town as we had lived, taught nearby and attended PSU 32 years ago. We just wanted a reasonably priced, clean venu with a breakfast provided and close to everything that we wanted to access. So nice having Damon's right there in the parking lot so we could go for a bit watch a game and have a nice drink and walk back to the hotel.

Hampton Inn State College PSU Football
We stayed here the night before a Penn State football game. The location was excellent! It was about a mile walk from the hotel to Beaver Stadium. We were allowed to leave our car in the hotel parking lot during the game which was a BIG plus. After the game, we walked around the stores on College Avenue and had dinner. We then picked up our car and headed home. The hotel offers a decent breakfast in the morning. It was extremely easy to check in and out of the hotel. Our only complant would be that our room was located near a stairwell so there was a lot of noise during the night/early morning. But I am sure if you have a different room location, that won't be an issue. Overall, an excellent place to stay for a Penn State football game. We will definetly stay here again!
