Rodeway Inn Reading

Our assigned room had bedbugs, so we were given another room that was 'in progress', but needed much cleaning! The desk attendant, a lovely lady, was more than accommodating, especially regarding the bedbug situation, and she did put us up in a room that was slated as an 'upgrade', but we were not charged any additional fee. The room's door was 'stuck' and needed to be slammed shut in order to properly close and lock it, providing unnecessary noise to other guests. The room's TV needed repair:half the screen's color was bluish/green, and the WIFI was not working. Our room's phone was not in working order[not hooked up?]. The owner/manager of this particular Inn would definitely improve the 'star' rating with properly trained housekeeping staff[ for thoroughness],as well as dealing with motel-wide extermination and treatment of the bedbugs[and train the staff in how to spot bedbugs...look over each mattress and boxspring thoroughly. The best part of our stay at this motel was the convenient location to the Reading Airport [the WWII Weekend was our destination], and the friendly desk staff.

Had to change hotels because of noise & no internet service

Not knowing anything else about it, we chose this hotel because of it's medium price range ($76 a night on Orbitz)Location at crossroads was decent, but security apparently bad problem. Outside entry doors to hallways were broken, and outside entry doors to rooms were chain locked and not supposed to be used by guests. Bathrooms really poor and dirty, and half of light bulbs in room burnt out. TV supposedly had movie channels which we never found. Final kicker was when we went to check out i requested a receipt, although by booking thru Orbitz my credit card was charged $76. The receipt I received showed that the hotel was paid $52 for the room! Who got the difference? Who caused us to get a $50 hotel room anyway when we deliberately tried to avoid getting one? I have to blame Orbitz for this fiasco.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was dirty, the phone didn't work, the locks on some doors didn't work, etc. Don't stay here if you can avoid it.

We stayed at the hotel about 4 years ago.We enjoyed the pool and the cleanliness of the hotel. The location of the eating and shopping areas are very convenient. This stay was much different. The owners were very nice and fast.It got renavated with a new paint job. However,the rooms were unclean. I felt I couldn't take a shower. The toilet was stopped up so we couldn't flush the toilet.We will go back again! Sorry!

With respect to the hotel do not I have complaints of ningun type, therefore the cleaning of the room was excellente and the service that offered me equal, all the very courteous and very kind personnel and to pass some short holidays this super.

The front desk area was clean, the front desk clerk was friendly but this was her first check in job. The wallpaper was hanging off the wall in the stairwell and I hoped this was not a omen that my room would be dirty. I found the room to be extremely dusty. The bathroom was old and dirty. The soapdish was hanging off the wall in the shower. It had an overall dirty feeling to it. I called the front desk to complain but the phone was not answered. I tried to call later on but again there was no answer after many many rings. I ended up staying there but I would never stay there again nor would I reccomend anyone I know to stay there.

Not a very hospitable place.
