Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown

I was looking for a place where I could attend a conference in downtown Pittsburgh and also retreat to work in the room when I needed to. The Wyndham filled the bill. A few minor quibbles: the lighting could have been a bit better for reading on the couch or in bed, and the free wireless connection was a bit slow and wonky (for an iPad anyway). But all in all I would certainly not hesitate to stay there again.

I got a good deal fm Orbiz. Room, gym, lobby, location fantastic. Only my BF was not included with the plan.

I enjoyed the hotel WYNDHAM GRAND. It was close to the cultural zone and had a pleasing decor and amenities. I ate at the restaurant and pub/bar an the staff were very courteous and the food---especially my Turkey club was very tasty. Maggie Ryan

Room was clean/efficiently organized. King room was a bit small.$28 valet parking per night was pricey.

I had read many horrendous reviews about the place. Not to say that all were warranted, but some hit it on the nail as far as the staff is concerned. The view is nice. The location is ideal. Decently nice looking hotel when you take into account that you're in Pittsburgh.

The Wyndham was a perfect location- right downtown, close to everything; for the price, I would do it again in a heartbeat! The only thing I didn't like was the shower- there was no door! The water leaked out every time, all over the floor...and there was also no refrigerator, which is an inconvenience. But other than that, it was fine!

Nice place. Three river restaurant over PRICED.walking distance to game and shopping. Valet is a little over priced 28 dollars a day a bit to much.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel for a number of reasons. - The room was tiny; it was barely big enough for the bed and there was no dresser with drawers for clothes. - The room wasn't that clean; the in-room coffee pot had something floating in it. - The shower was configured in such a way that you have to stand under it when turning it on, which is not a welcome surprise in the morning. The shower head was also not adjustable (it was supposed to be but it wouldn't move). - They only have valet parking which is quite expensive. The nearest city parking garages are a bit of a walk with luggage. On the positive side, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better location for the hotel (though there are nearby hotels in almost as good locations. The staff was also very friendly and nice. Overall, I was not happy with my choice and I won't stay here again.

This hotel was above average for the a downtown hotel. The rooms are small, with tight entrances and bathrooms. The staff for the whole was courteous and efficient. The food was well above average. The only complaint I would offer here is when I asked the doorman how to get to the subway station, he never answered the question. He kept saying the hotel van would take me where I needed to go. Even when i explained the subway dropped me off in the basement of the building i was working in; he kept saying the van was the way to go.

Loved this hotel. The staff was nice and the room was great. The proximity to the stadium and all that downtown Pittsburgh has to offer was great. Will definitely stay here again when in town again!
