Travelodge Pittsburgh

This hotel was under renovations, so it may be a little better than our stay. The continental breakfast was danish & coffee. No coffee maker in rooms, plus they pulled the coffee with the breakfast at 9:30AM. The rooms were on the low end for comfort at a 2 star hotel. Wouldn't recommend this hotel for more than an overnight.

i had 3 requests in a room. a bed...check, a tv...check and a place to take a nice hot shower....well 2 out of 3 is a start. they had a shower but the water that came out was brown, then red then browner then chunks of something mixed with brown, then just chunks of the mystery substance....needless to say I didn't shower.

The room was dirty, wet smelly carpet, hair all over the blanket, walls were falling apart. The fridge and microwave were only pluses. I'd rather add $15 extra to have my piece of mind. Don't go there.

Just like any other cheap hotel. If you're an average guy who doesn't need anything fancy, this place is great. If you're picky then move on. My dad and I stayed here the night before a steelers game. We booked the day before and most hotels in Pittsburgh were hundreds of dollars. So to snag such a cheap room we were psyched. Especially after spending so much money on our tickets to the game. It's right off the interstate and obvious as soon as you exit. Also in a good area of town. Didn't seem sketchy.

if you are just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two it is a great value and located conveniently near the robinson mall

Good for the price if you are looking to stay just a night or two at a cheaper price.

We were happy with our stay here. The room was clean and staff was polite. Nothing fancy here, but we were impressed after picking the lowest cost hotel in the Pittsburgh area that night.

The hotel lacks ambiance. The windows were dirty and the walls need to be re-painted. The receptionist wasn't very welcoming and didn't seem very enthusiastic.

my partner and i were looking to stay somewhere for a few nights and decided on the carefree inn because of the price. our room was nice, except that the air conditioner did not work very well which made it very uncomfortable. on our first night, we decided to get something to eat from the vending machines which to our dismay, were all out of order. we then walked down the hill to the local gas station which was also closed. across the street from the gas station was a restaraunt which, surprise, was also closed. we ended up having to go to the vending machines at the neighboring motel. when i awoke the next morning,i had found out that my father had passed away the previous night. my partner and i left the motel at about 10:30 a.m. we did not go back to finish our stay. later on i had called to get a refund since we did not stay the extra night and the staff was horrible. the man that i spoke to told me i could not get a refund because i did not tell them by 11 a.m. even after i had told him the situation and assured him that checking out of the motel was the last thing on my mind. i still have yet to speak to the owner. i refuse to stop until i get my money back.

Even though the rooms were quite pricey, they were one of the cheapest hotels in the area when i went to Pittsburgh. Since this was one of the cheapest places to stay, obviously the quality of my room was not good. I found hairs in the shower and the walls seemed dirty and moldy. But I still slept fine and it didn't cost me nearly as much as it would have had I stayed at some of the other pricey hotels. Overall, I got what I paid for: somewhere to sleep and shower and nothing more.
