Perfect Spot for Football/Baseball Visitors

The Westin in downtown Pittsburgh worked very well for us as visiting football fans for a weekend. The lobby is nice, and the staff were very patient, informative, and helpful. My room was clean and was kept very clean. The location is perfect in regards to the sports venues. It is in a nice spot of town and only about a 15 minute walk to the stadium across the bridge. Enjoyed our stay, as well as the Original Fish Market Restaurant located inside. Would recommend.

solid choice in Pittsburgh

Perfectly fine, clean room, good location in downtown Pittsburgh, friendly staff. Certainly the cost is a price-gauge on a big sports weekend but that's supply and demand. One complaint is not enough elevators - very hard to get downstairs at busy times and had to walk.

Baseball week-end

The Westin proved exceptionally clean and convenient for our week-end to catch the Pirates play at PNC Park. Much cheaper week-end parking exists in nearby lots however.

Great location!

My husband and I stayed here for New Year's Eve 2012, and we attended the First Night festivities in the city. The Westin was a great choice since we were only a few blocks from the cultural district. The room was very nice and I thought the bed was very comfortable(my husband thought it was too soft). I know it's the city, but I wish you didn't have to pay extra to park. I highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

August Henry's City Saloon was only a block away, and their fish sandwich was HUGE! The prices were reasonable and the food was good!

Nice but not spectacular

The Westin is in a great location and looks really nice. But overall it was a little blah. The other thing that was annoying was that the room was about 86 degrees when I walked into it. That's right 86! It was like a sauna! Other than that, it was okay. It would have been nice to have free wi-fi, but for one night it was good enough.

Ok, not what I expected

For the price, I was expecting a lot more. The location is great if you are on business or in town to see a ball game. It is a short walk to PNC park and Heinz Field. One slightly annoying feature is that you must use your room key to turn on the lights...which is fine until your husband leaves the room with the key while you are in the bathroom. Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable but I wouldn't call this a "good value." Parking is not included but there is a self park lot under the hotel.
