pleasant staff, charming spot
We were out from dawn till way past dark, so could not take full advantage of all the amenities offered. I booked this spot because I did not want to come back to an austere, run-of-the-mill hotel room after the activity filled days we had planned. I wanted that nice feeling after a great day to continue all the way to the end of the day - and in this place it did! It was fun coming back to our "house", strolling through the library & ascending the wide staircase to our room. Ambience is everything here! It is decorated perfectly to the period of the house. We encountered two different young ladies in our two night stay & both were as helpful & pleasant as they could be fulfilling our requests & answering questions. The bed was very comfortable, hot water unending & towels amazingly soft. Upon our late return on the second night we found most of the other guests having a great conversation in the bar area - it looked like fun, but we had an early departure & unfortunately didn't get to join in. We also were out for all our meals, so cannot comment on the food offered (continental breakfast included w/ stay & a dinner menu seemed to be available) We will stay here again when in the area.

we caught the subway/tram system from downtown to an area called Station Square. It's on the river, small-ish but had several amazing restaurants, beautiful views of the skyline after dark, a fun water fountain choreographed w lights & music and only a few steps from an incline railway open till midnight for more unbelievable city views.
