Shop till you drop and stay near the airport at this Pittsburgh hotel
The Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh South Airport is near Pittsburgh International Airport as well as one of the area's most popular shopping destinations, Robinson Town Centre. The pet-friendly property is set up like a motel, with exterior entrances to some rooms. Free amenities include an airport shuttle, Wi-Fi, and parking. Pets stay free. The hotel charges no extra fee for kids 17 and under who share a room with a parent.

The mall was literally a minute from the hotel it was perfect, so many dining places and gas stations in the area too!

Basic accommodations in a good location
The room was clean and moderately comfortable, but the location is very good for area shopping, eating, and getting to the airport. There are many strip malls, restaurants, and a large mall within a couple of miles of the motel. I wouldn't recommend this motel for a vacation stay, but if you're going to the airport and want to stay somewhere the night before, this motel is very reasonable.

Clean enough for the price you pay
The hotel looks clean the people from the front desk is friendly [...].The bay thing seems they don't vacuum.

Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh
I'd rate this as a good hotel -- not spectacular, but no real complaints. The staff were friendly and professional. The room and public areas were clean and well-maintained. Space was adequate, though the bathroom was pretty cramped (the shower curtain rod actually curves out over the floor so that the tub feels bigger, but that means that if the curtain were hanging down straight, it would fill most of the room). Even though it was a non-smoking room, there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke when we arrived; it was largely dissipated by running the AC on high for a while. Internet access was quick, easy, and free of service disruptions. Price was good and access to the freeway was OK (though a bit quirky). Time to downtown Pittsburgh varied from about 20 minutes to an hour-and-a-half when traffic was snarled before a Pirates game.

All traffic to Pittsburgh funnels though one main freeway, so rush-hour commuters and sports fans will all be on the same road you are. Pay attention to when you drive and it'll be a much more pleasant drive into town; try to avoid driving into town within a couple hours of a baseball or football game!

Nice Room
Nice room, clean, bathroom very nice. Needs new sheets a little overused but all linens were clean and well presented. All staff friendly and polite.
