Older hotel; however, new carpet, fresh paint, and clean and comfortable bed! Excellent location, close to downtown PGH, Oakland, and East End. Friendly and courteous staff!

Reception personnel was distracted, but capable. Close to everything!

I have stayed here twice while visiting my daughter at Carnegie Mellon U. I love the location, about 5 minutes driving from CMU, even in traffic. It is nice to have a breakfast place downstairs as there are so few of them in Pittsburgh; my one wish for this hotel was a self laundry. I like to do my daughters laundry when I visit and I had to go out to do it. The staff is very friendly.

This isn't a bad hotel. It could be a little cheaper but that's forgivable. The room was reasonably big with a desk and TV and full size bathroom. The place was clean and the staff were nice. BIG plus is that they have a computer in the lobby you can use for free and PRINT for free too. I hope they don't make the mistake of discontinuing this service. It's a Godsend if you don't happen to bring a laptop and/or smartphone. Not everybody has a smartphone and those who have laptops don't always bring them. Location wise, it's right next to U Pitt, though that wasn't my target. Mine was downtown. By cab you can get to the Lawrence Convention Center for about $9 but walk up a street or two and you can catch a bus. You can also catch 28X back to the airport when you're ready to go home. 28X will also get you downtown, not far from the Convention Center, just be sure to get off at that stop because the next is far away from it.

The location of the hotel was not that bad. It was relatively farther than any other hotels that are located near the University of Pittsburgh. However, it was in walkable location (about 15 minutes away from the school). Also, if we consider the price. it was a good deal. However, they do not provide any breakfast. So, you need to find stores that are near by. But, then on same building, there is Panera. So, I guess it was OK.

This hotel is overpriced ! Toilet Flush was not working , bedsheets were not smelling good ...could hear a loud thumping sound from the elevator outside all night !!! Good Part : Panera Bread right adjacent to the hotel open 6 am to 9 pm , Television in room was 40 " LCD HD :) with HBO !

This was the most reasonable hotel I found in Pittsburgh near the University. Still, it was great! Fresh coffee in the lobby any time. The rooms have coffeemaker, a refrigerator and a microwave. Rooms were kept clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. They run a shuttle for the vicinity. Bus lines are nearby as is the hospital. Restaurant in building for breakfast and sandwiches. What's not to like?

Nice hotel near amenities. Free bus service around town, no cabs needed.

I traveled there on business, used the 28x bus from the airport (cost 3.25 each way rather than a $50 cab!!) and they have a free shuttle at the hotel which will bring you around within the city which was helpful for my interview! The panera on the 1st floor was totally clutch!! Front desk workers were friendly and helpful. Room was decent.

I was only looking for a place to sleep, not all the amenities and Quality Inn was perfect for that. It was clean! That's the basic requirement! Internet access, coffeemaker, Panera Bread in the building - what's not to like? Two complaints: 1. I couldn't get through to arrange a wake-up call; couldn't even raise the front desk. 2. No bottle opener in room or at front desk
