The good, the bad, and the ugly

The location is convenient and the price is decent, but that's about all the positive you can say about this hotel. Simply put, it's one of the dirtiest I've ever stayed at. The bedspreads were stained, the carpets filthy, the bathroom disgusting with a tub that was slow to drain, the ceilings were stained, and a few insects spotted too. I was loathe to touch *anything* the whole weekend there. The clientele at the property was also sketchy, with people talking and yelling outside at all hours of the night and the folks in their room next door running their jacuzzi tub from 4-5 AM in the morning. Convenient location

The Comfort Inn Pittsburgh North is conveniently located near the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and on a direct artery to the city, which is about 10 miles down the Allegheny River. After a busy and long Saturday in Pittsburgh, we found that our room linens had been removed but not replaced, the wastebaskets unemptied, and our bed unmade. This required a late-night visit to the Front Desk, where we were courteously given replacement linens and received a reduction in our bill. Overall, then, the staff is accommodating, but in need of better training. The breakfast served in this motel is excellent. There is a great variety of food, including waffles, the dining room is well-tended, and the quality is top notch.

Friedndly Staff

The Comfort Inn Pittsburgh North was comfortable with a great bar/grill on site but the cleanliness of the overall hotel and the rooms was a bit disgusting. The rooms had a moldy smell to them, the drain in the hot tub did not work , and the toilet ran all night. We mentioned this to the staff upon check out and not one apology was offered. The overall room was satisfying, with a large bed, seating area, and spacious room for hanging clothes.
